We will be engaged for a 1 year, 9 months when we get married so we have been engaged for 1 1/2 years....uhh I'm so excited to finally say "my husband" but I have enjoyed every minute of being engaged and am really glad we waited and didn't stress ourselves out with a short engagement.

Veijes: For my favors, I had made and canned maple syrup (well, with help from my parents), apple butter, and strawberry jam.  Then I pain-stakenly cut out little squares of checkered fabric and cut those in circles for decorative tops on the jars.  I secured them on with rubberbands and then tied raffia over the top.  They were super cute and a super PITA.  People still talk about them though, so I guess it was worth it.

Heather- A tie between the event coordinator at the PEC, Heather, who is absolutely amazing and has been dealing with all my nagging bride questions for 6 months now already even though I still have 1.5 yrs to go! The other win goes to Matt Brue our videographer for being such a passionate, awesome guy.

Ooops, my bad. Probably should have read page two before I posted my question!

But to answer it:
Andy and I got engaged end of August 2009 and are getting married 10.16.10 - so the engagement will be a little over a year.

Kkaew- I live in St. Cloud and I absolutely die over the Martini Lounge here's chocolate covered strawberry martini! That could be the only drink I had from now until I die and I would be happy!

Kkaew, I'm a fan of pinot grigio, but when I'm going for the hard stuff, I usually go for a gin and tonic. Aside from that, I love this drink that FI makes me that I like to call "numminess", cuz its delicious. Its a major girly drink, featuring grenadine, pomegranate, oj, and sprite...with cherries of course :-)

We were engaged at Indian Mounds Park.  DH picked me up for lunch and wanted try out his new remote for his camera.  We got all posed and snapped a few shots.  Then he said he had forgotten something, bent down to the camera bag, and came back up on one knee with the ring.  We had talked about getting engaged, so I knew it was coming, but I had NO IDEA when.  Totatlly surprised.  Plus, he kept taking pictures the whole time, so we have pics of it!

Alcoholic bev: I'm a big fan of the Sea Breeze (vodka + grapefruit juice with a splash of cranberry) ... but I also love a good beer or red wine. Also? SoCo Limes!!!

All: How long were you with you FI before you got engaged?

Andy and I were together about 4.5 years before he popped the question. I was the one who held us back even though I knew I wanted to marry him. We had a couple periods of "open relationship" which was basically my excuse to sew my wild oats while I was abroad. That was the best thing (and the hardest) we ever did, as it totally solidified us and we know how sure we are about each other!

Anyone else?

Oh man I know! All my friends and family think I'm crazy and there are times I'm super impatient and want to get married RIGHT NOW!
