We are in love with North Bank but a little nervous to book it because of the weather and we are expecting 165 guest. Any future north bank brides out there and if so, which caterer are you going with??
I am not a North Bank bride but I did consider it for my venue. In case of bad weather you can always add a tent to cover the patio. That way if you are having so many guests they can be in the building but spill out on the patio (covered) as welll.
I'm not sure if you know this but it is very hard to book there. You have to enter a lottery (They book a year in advance) and hope that your name is drawn... unless you are planning to have a Friday or Sunday wedding. Those dates seem to be pretty open.
We have North Bank booked for our wedding reception June 16, 2012. We will be having a tent because our guest list is also around 150..approaching 175. We will also have reserved tent sides just in case it rains that day. I also love the venue!
We are using Hoggy's for catering and they seem very very knowledgeable and experienced about the set-up and location.
We did have to do the lottery and I was very nervous about this process but it ended up working out just fine and I got it for my second choice date.
Let me know if you have any other questions I can help with! I feel like I have a pretty good handle on the space and what to expect.
We are getting married at NBP May 19th, 2012. We hired Niocle's Cafe & Catering for our caterer and also for our bar-- she is on the preferred vendor list that NBP provides and she has been great to work with! Also-- just as an aside if you have more than 100 people they will make you have a tent, the building capacity is just 100.
I'm happy to help with questions too, I feel like NBP brides need their own board as this venue can be a challenge!!
Can anyone let me know how much you paid for NBP? I have approximately 185 guests and I'm trying to save as much $$ as possible. Where did everyone rent their tents from? How much was it? Do they require you to choose from a list of caterers? What was the price like with the one you chose? Are you having your ceremony and reception at the location? How does that work? Such as do they have the ceremony chairs set up then take them down afterward and place them at tables? I'd like for my reception to be set up before the guests come in. Decor ideas? I am not in Columbus at the moment to be able to view NBP but I am considering it. Did you have to call them?
