My First DIY - Cardbox (UPDATE)

Lately, I have been seeing so many cute cardboxes that last night, I decided to tackle one.  I'm not the most crafty person out there, but I think I did an alright job. What do you girls think?


UPDATE: I am such a freak.  So the more I looked at the box, the more I didn't like it, so last night I decided to do yet another.  And this is the result:


So now I think I am leaning toward the second one   Ay ay ay.

Well, I actually got these two boxes from the post office, haha.  They are just shipping boxes.

I found the damask wrapping paper at Michaels.  I found the black wrapping paper, the silk orchids, and the CARDS letter stickers at Hobby Lobby.  I did end up buying some other boxes -- brown paper mache round boxes -- to use in case I messed this one up.  Hobby Lobby is a dream, though! I found so many other cute little things there!!

I got my supplies from Joanns! I bought a value pack of paper mache boxes it was 20 dollars but i used a coupon. And then just painted it, my instructions in my bio

Pretty! I always get excited after I finish a DIY project! I got a set of those paper mache boxes, too. I only had one set so I was praying I didn't mess it up! Good idea with the post office boxes, though! I never thought of that!

Looks great! I'm currently on mine right now. I'm trying to cover the boxes in fabric and unfortunately the boxes I got were round and its quite the challenge. Great idea on the square boxes and wrapping paper. That looks so cute and is prob a lot easier than what I am trying to do, lol.

i like the second one too!!! maybe put "CARDS" in white letters though to soften it up a little bit other wise looks great!
