New on the board

Hello all-I am new.  Just got engaged, wedding is in a year, 2nd time around, older bride in 40's.  Question-We both would like to walk down the aisle together to meet with the officiant. No bridesmaids/groomsmen or children to escort us down the aisle.  Our ceremony will be short, but meaninful to both of us.  Guest list of 200.  What do you think?  would love any feedback.

Congrats and Welcome! :)I say if you two want to walk down together, that's fine. Do you not want to have that moment where he sees you walking down the aisle? Do you plan on meeting before? So long as you have those thoughts worked out and what you want to do - I think it's fine!

I think it's your day, do as you please.  You have to be happy with it.  Especially now a days, I think you can get away with being unique individuals and show that in your wedding.  Traditions are exactly that and most are right out the window!  =)  Enjoy every moment of it!

Thanks everyone for the feedback.  I really didn't think I would be nervous or overwhelmed by the idea of a wedding at this stage in my life.  It has been one of the most wonderful surprises to date!  Have a great weekend everyone!
