Inexpensive wedding/reception Hall

I am on the freak out i havnt been engaged for even a month yet and i feel so over whelmed. We are planning a very budget wedding. We want the rception and the weding in one location. Rent the hall for under $2000 I dont even know that its possible. LOL. would love downtown or the crossroads  but really open to anything, Its for may next year, and would like to bring in our own catering.
Thanks!

I don't know if this will be particularly helpful but I found a couple of places that looked really pretty in pictures (never saw them in person because I found my place right away). They are both near downtown, I think, and their prices, if I remember correctly, were between $2000 and $3000. I'm not certain about their catering requirements. I know this is a bit over you goal but I thought I'd throw them out there anyway:

The MIssion Theatre on Johnson Drive in Mission is pretty inexpensive, especially if you are doing the off-peak season.  Their prices included beer and wine, DJ, tables and linens.  I am having my wedding there in the fall, they seem to be pretty easy to work with.  Hope that helps!

The Arts Incubator is in the Crossroads, allows open catering and is affordable.  It cost us 1600, although she mentioned they may be increasing their prices.

On their website you can see if your date has already been booked.

If you date is 5.28.2011 the AI is taken-by me!

looks like they still have 5.14.11 available.

We drove by Drexel Hall and it is smack in the middle of a nasty neighborhood.  Sad because it looks so pretty.

Gamber Center in Lee's Summit is SUPER cheap and they let you bring in your own everything. You can rent it for a 12 hour block for $1250 if you're a LS resident and $1500 if you aren't... It is only a few years old and it is BEAUTIFUL inside. We are having both ceremony and reception there too, in May as well!

The barn at the Alexander Majors house on State Line Rd (near Ward Parkway) rents for $700 for an entire day. You bring your own caterer and it is pretty bare, you have to do all the decorating yourself. But you can't beat the price. They have tables and chairs, so you don't have to rent those.
