I am so over this week. It has been a rough one for me. But I am not looking forward to this weekend either! Tomorrow is my bridal shower and I still haven't figured out what to do with my dress, I have been too busy! I got to work at 5am today so I could get off early and go shopping.

Also, I am kind of annoyed. I have a BM coming in from about 2 hours away for my shower, she sent me a text on Monday asking about hotels because she is coming with her FI and they are going to stay the weekend. My house is totally not ready but I offered for them to stay with us. She said that would be awesome, maybe they would stay one night with us and one in a hotel but she would talk it over with her FI and let me know. Well I haven't heard from her! I sent her a text yesterday morning and haven't gotten a response. I would like more than a few hours to know if we will have house guests or not. We are still living out of boxes and we don't even have extra pillows lol. UGH!

I am so ready for this wedding to be over with!

I feel ya. My shower is tomorrow also and I'm pretty sure that I have strep throat. This is the second time this year that I've been sick (I had the flu last month). I am desperately trying to call my doctor to see if he can call in an antibiotic for me because I really don't want to be sick at my shower

I did have a good birthday! We went to Bahama Breeze for dinner and FI gave me these beautiful pearl earings to wear as my something new for the wedding. My mom has a pearl necklace that will be my something borrowed. I wanted to wear them to the shower tomorrow but then I suppose they won't be something new. Here is a pic

Then we just came home and watched TV and relaxed

TGIF, I am sooo ready for this week to be over!!

How exciting that a lot of us have our bridal showers this weekend, I hope you feel better blondy Post pics of you guys at your showers!!!

NWR: I started my job this week and have also been working my part time job at night too. I have been so busy this week and am feeling a little burnt. I was hoping to keep this part time job up until the wedding, but I may have to stop. With the stress from the wedding and now my new job, I do not think I can handle it. On the plus side I am babysitting my niece tonight, so that should be fun no matter how tired I am! Monday I am hoping to sleep in as Saturday and Sunday I will have to be up early!

WR:Sunday is my bridal shower!!! Yes, the forecast says snow, but hopefully not a lot. Fingers are still crossed. Saturday I have my first fitting. My mom is coming with me, and the freaking out has started. I lost a lot of weight. When I bought my dress they ordered me a size 10. I am down 25lbs, so fingers crossed there that they will be able to take my dress in. After the fitting FI and I will be meeting with our videographer then our photographer for final appointments.

Blondy, Earrings are beautiful! I haven't even thought about something old/new/borrowed/blue yet, oh gosh.

Christine, what is your part time job? Also, have fun babysitting. I babysat last Saturday for my cousins kids, the 3 that are in our wedding, and I honestly had one of the best times in a long time!

Vk---my seasonal job at the limited became a permanent part time job i like the extra money, but during the week I go from my full time job right to my part time job... I mean its minimal hours but its a lot right now!

Christine - WOW congrats! That's an awesome amount of weight to lose. Your willpower must be phenomenal. Seriously, well done!! I hope it all works out but if you have a good seamstress, she should be able to take it in. I definitely haven't lost that much, but I do think I've lost like 5-10 pounds (I don't use scales...) and the seamstress had to take in a bunch but didn't seem to think it'd be any issue.

And I hope all of you have wonderful showers!!!

This week has seemed super long to me - I really don't know why but it just has. Anyway...

NWR - Hoping FI has Monday off so we have a long weekend together. We have a ton of laundry to take to the laundromat (our kitty was not feeling well this week and got sick all over our comforter...) so it'd be nice to have more time to do stuff. We're going to NJ to do some wedding stuff and I'm hoping we can get drinks or coffee with one of my BMs/best friends. And I just finished the scarf I was knitting so I'm hoping to get to Joann's to get more yarn and start a new project.

WR - Well...as you may have seen on my post below, I'm going through some hair/make up drama. I'm calling today to find out what the "issue" with using the salon is going to be. I really hope it's nothing that would make me need to find someone new but if it is, I'll be spending some time on the phone this weekend looking around for a new option. Tomorrow, we have a meeting with our priest which I'm looking forward to. We really get along with him and it's our last one before the "setting the ceremony" meeting (I think) so that's cool. It might actually be setting the ceremony too which would be even more exciting. Then my dad and I have our first dance lesson. My dad wants to do it because he wants us to be prepared and look good but, at the same time, he really doesn't want to do it at all, so...I have a feeling it could be a bit frustrating (especially b/c I know it was when he did it with my sister). We'll see though - FI was much better about the lessons than I expected so you never know.

NWR: I missed class all this week because of the flu, so now I'm playing catch-up. I'm back to work today, but now FI is coming down with it. At least we weren't both sick at the same time! FI sent me some flowers on Valentine's Day, at work--where I wasn't. He wasn't expecting me to be out sick all week when he ordered them. The flowers did not fare well, even though they were rescued from the loading dock by a coworker (who the hell delivers perishables to a loading dock?). I'm pretty sure FI spent a pretty dime on this bouquet, which is now brown, drooping, and half dead.  I know he won't try to get a refund from 1-800-Flowers, though--which boils my blood! Oh well, the card that came with them was very, very sweet.

WR: We ventured out to get our marriage license yesterday when I was feeling better and before he became really sick, so that's crossed off the list. I also managed to get a bunch of things done around the house, so I'm pretty organized to start on the vases for the centerpieces. Our long list of things to do is shrinking by the day! Oh--and the bridal shower invitation came in the mail yesterday, so hooray for that!

HR: (New category--Honeymoon Related) We've also come up with a initial itinerary for our honeymoon in New Zealand. We now have to figure out how long we're staying in each place and where we're staying, and rent a vehicle to get around. There's still some things I have to figure out, like flying from the north island to the south island, instead of driving, but at least we're more prepared than just having our flights booked!

WR: Hopefully getting my invitations today - I've been waiting for weeks. They need to be mailed pronto! Also should be picking up my shower dress from the seamstress tomorrow. and we have a few DIY projects to finish off this weekend as well. Also, i ordered most of the stuff for my oot bags as well the other day. Next week, we have to go apply for our marriage license and I have my first dress fitting as well. I feel so behind!

NWR: Our landlords switched out our appliances, so we have new a brand spanking new fridge, oven and above the range microwave! YAY!

List of Checks:

Woohoo!  Just got off the phone with our pastor and got our ceremony finalized.  

I tried to get my boudoir pix done yesterday but the photographer got hit on her driver's side (she's okay) on the way to our appt so we're going to push it back until after the honeymoon.  This way there won't be any rush to get them done while I'm visiting for a weekend, I'll hopefully be in better shape and not the same skin tone as the Twilight vampires.

Picked up 3 BM dresses and another one came in directly to my BM in Charleston.  Just waiting on FSIL's dress to come in but she ordered a couple of weeks after everyone else, so here will be in within the next couple of weeks, I hope :-)

This weekend:

WR: I think we're done b/c we got everything above done.  We may swing by Macy's today and reconsider our sheet selection for our registry (we registered for the most expensive ones, of course).  Who knows...maybe we'll just roll with it.  My bedding is the one thing I will splurge on because a good night's rest is worth a pot of gold to me.

NWR: DISNEY WORRRRLD!  My sister is bringing her family down and we're going to take the four of them (they have a 5yo and 3yo) over to see the Mouse.  It should be awesome :-)

I can't believe my bachelorette party is right around the corner!  3 weeks!  My liver isn't ready for this...

WR: Meeting with my Mom and both of my brother's girfriends about the shower.  This should not be on my to-do list, but they want me there and time is running out.  Hopefully it is drama free.  All I want is my 15 people of the list I provided them to hang out at my Moms for a few hours with some appetizers, drinks, and maybe games.  That's all!!  There are only 6 girls including myself for the bachelorette party and all I really want is to go to dinner at a nice sports bar here in town that gets lively at night.  We can stay there, have drinks, watch basketball on tv, dance later, have fun!  Easy peasy!!  The girls don't agree... they want a "bar hoppy thing" well,, one girl does... she has very good intentons, but she is 21.  I am 32 and my friends are a couple years older than me and they are Moms.. not too into the bar hopping scene anymore.  Also, FI and I have to redo the budget thanks to expenses that came up over the past week.

NWR:  I am going to try my best to just sleep in.  I am getting sick and need rest!
