Does anyone know how to go about arranging escorts to and from the ceremony? Also, do you need to have a Jefferson and Orleans parish cop if you are crossing the parish line? TIA

    Yes you are going to need both NOPD and JP Sheriff. JPSO wants you to call within 3 months of the wedding but I've heard that with NOPD you need to call pretty far in advance. I'm sure even if it's not too far in advance they'll have someone available to do the escort though. Just call each department's traffic division. Good luck!

    The contact for Orleans Parish is Don Powers donp@aol.com, office 504-658-6205 cell 504-343-5890 if you are going from Orleans to Jefferson they will contact the JP Dept.  He says to email him 1 month before the wedding date.  Two stops is $100 per officer will be more if you have more stops, dont know the price for that.

    THanks for the info! I was able to contact JP dept and they are arranging 1 JPSO and 1 NOPD bike for the big day. I was a tad late in doing so (only 24 days away!), but they were able to accomodate me!
