Second line parade transportation help?

Here's the situation.  We're doing a second line around the block after the ceremony.  Most of our guests haven't been to New Orleans, so we want to give them the whole experience.  Problem is, the grandmothers won't be able to make the walk.  We want to find a fun way to include them in the festivities.  We thought of a carriage, but we're too far up Esplanade and they want to charge us $500 (way too expensive).  Next, we thought of a classic convertible, but I haven't been able to find one to rent.  Finally, there are a couple of places that rent little hand-pulled floats (though I don't know if these would be stable enough for our grandmothers to feel secure in or what they would cost  Anyone have any thoughts, or know where a fun convertible can be found?  I know this is kind of a nutty idea . . .

Thanks!

They have just authorized pedicabs in New Orleans.  They are going to start giving out licenses in August, so I'm not 100% sure how to find out how rent one or when they will be up and running.  May not be the classiest way but it might be a cool and less expensive way to do it.  And fun!

What a cool idea!  Thanks!  I've been wondering for years why we didn't have pedicabs here.  I guess someone else was thinking the same thing. :)
