Luminous Events? Any one use them?

Hello All,
I am having my wedding in a month at Latrobes. One of the reasons I loved Latrobes is its candle friendly. I want them every where!

In my last minute freaking, I was thinking who is going to place all these said candles. I came across Luminous Events. Was wondering has any one used them in the past or is planning on using them?

Not sure if I should go through my florist (Meade Wenzel) or with another firm.

I'm out of town so any help would be appreciated.

Alicia

I have met with Lisa and she was great! very helpful and friendly. I am OOT as well and I haven't booked them yet, but I am still considering using them for my wedding. You can give her all your ideas and she will come up with something amazing that will fit into your vision.

What is the price range for their service?  This might be something I am interested in doing also.  Great potential find!

I am getting married at Latrobe's as well. And, like you, I LOVE the candles everywhere. I considered Luminous events, but their minimum ($700) was just too much for me. I'm working with Meade Wenzel and she does votives on all the tables automatically. I spent $100 at Hobby Lobby on extra pillar candles and hurricanes and I'm gonna see if Meade is willing to set it up.

    I'd check with Meade first.

I'm using Lisa for both candles and help with some of the coordinating.  Our wedding isn't until June, but she's been wonderful to work with so far.  For me, it is reassuring to know that she will be there to make sure everything looks right and runs smoothly, especially being OOT.  Also, keep in mind that with a substantial # of candles, you probably want to make sure you have someone on-hand making sure they are all lit, etc.  :)

    Hello All,

I spoke with Lisa from Luminious this afternoon. She is going to send me information about her services via email over the week. Once I get it I will share. She sounds very nice over the phone and seemed to know Latrobe's very well. I told her I want the room to have an amder glow as I have seen in the Latrobe's pictues. Seems like they are familiar and have done several events there in the past. I'm looking forward to seeing more information.

Yeah there is a 700 min when working with LE. That is what kind of stopped me from working wiith them as well. When I got the proposal back it came to probably around 2000 for everything I wanted done with just candles. If you can get them yourself and ask your wedding planner if they could make sure they are lit then maybe that could be an option as well.

We're using them for our July wedding in AL (and also used them for our engagement party in NOLA last November), they have been fantastic and it's just one area that we did not want to burden our families with (not just the lighting, but the set up, break down and having all of these boxes and boxes of vases and candles taking over our house)!  I think it's definitely worth it if you are having a heavy candle-lit event (versus just votives scattered here and there).

    Hello all,
I just got the information from Lisa. I think we are going to use them to get the glow. I am in debate b/t flower center pieces for the small tables or candles or flowers and candles. Any thoughts from you girls using them?

Also, the as others have posted the minimum is 800 dollars, but when I started picking what I wanted, I almost had to struggle to get there.

I am so excited I was able to get them on such short notice!

  • We used them for a VIP Dinner at the Crowne Plaza Airport Hotel and it was beautiful.  They did a job and worked well within time restraints.
