Catholic Brides - ceremony music?

What instruments are you using for your ceremony music?  I have no idea where to start.  My wedding is at St. Joseph's so I think I'd need a cantor, a trumpet, and an organist but then I think I'd want strings for a more complete sound but I obviously can't have an orchestra.  I have no clue what I'm doing here....

Who are you using?  I got a quote for $500 just for the organist and $350 for the rest of the musicians.  I just didn't want to spend that much.

I have an organist and cantor (provided by the Cathedral as part of their steep fee), a trumpet, and a string quartet.  If the budget gets tight, I have the option to forego one of the strings and just have a trio.  I am using Harry Hardin (New Orleans Finest Musicians).  He is extremely helpful in helping you select your music.  Check out his website.  Also, does your church have a music director that can help you make decisions about what sounds good and how many musicians you will actually need to have a full sound?

I used musicians recommended by Holy Name (where Im getting married). The organist is Jonathan Sysmanski (not positive on spelling of last name). I have heard him several times and he does a wonderful job. He cost $250.

For trumphet, used Ronald Benko $250. 

The cantor is doing it for free as she happens to be my fiance's Aunt. I lucked out with that cost.

I had the same- canter, trumpet and organist and used the musicians the church recommended. I believe they were each $250. If you would like their contact info, let me know.

Harry Hardin was the person who gave me the $500 quote for their organist.  $250 per instrument is much better than $500...NOLAbride could you send me their information?  Thanks!
