I'm wanting a small, 50 to 75 ppl, not too fancy, reception. tujague's prices seem fairly cheap but does anyone know about food or the decor? of course I'm planning on visiting before booking but is it worth the trip to visit?

    We had our after-party at Tujagues - rented the bar area.  We didn't do food, but I have eaten dinner there before (MANY years ago) and remember it being good.  It's one (if not THE) oldest bar in New Orleans - the decor is dark wood driven and historical in nature.  We were only in the bar area this time around, but I "think" they have rooms you can book.  Depending on what kind of decor you're looking for, I'd say it's worth checking out...I think they can book musicians for you too...
