DIY Makeup

A very talented friend of mine is going to do makeup for me and my posse, but we have to provide our own stuff. I ordinarily wear Bare Minerals, but I feel like I might need something a little more substantial for the wedding day, what with all the photography. And since my e-pic session is coming up in a couple weeks, I probably should buy some stuff pretty soon!I've heard that MAC is awesome for special events, but are there any others I should consider?

I'd definitely recommend Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier.  Excellent, long-lasting products and the counter artists are usually pretty good (i.e., they won't make you look like a clown!)

I second Bobbi Brown and I'm also an everyday Bare Minerals wearer.

I personally LOVE mac makeup and it has shown up great on my e-pics and boudoir session.  They have lots of fun colors that are subtle but look great on camera. GL! Amie

I am also a Bare Minerals user, but I think you'll need more coverage for photos.  The make-up artists use MAC on me for productions and it stays on and also looks great in production photos.GL!  HTH!

I'm with everyone else on the daily BM front.  I DIY my make-up for the wedding and LOVED Make Up Forever in HD for foundation.  It holds up great in photos and lasted the whole day.I also love Tarte Clean Slate Primer to put under the foundation and Model in a Bottle to set everything.  Good luck!
