Vent: Having a slight meltdown!

So after looking at our bank account, I told FI we should add up what we owe, because I have a feeling this whole next month until the big day, we will be on a tight budget. Tight doesnt begin to describe it.

We owe almost $700 more than we have in our bank right now!!!!

We have almost kept a pretty comfortable amount in there. And now...we have to come up with a big chunk of money in a month! What are we going to pay bills with? I just got my hours re-cut again, and pick up my full 8 only once in a while...

What are we going to do!!!

Any ladies have/had this problem?!?! I

sorry for the vent..but Im kinda freaked out about this! Any advice!?!

I am right there with ya! I sat down and added what we have left to pay. And the yes's just keep rolling in. We're up to like 85 yes's and 5 no's. LoL...I want some no's!!! It's a lot of little crap that is really adding up too. We still have a tiny payment to pay to the reception venue and I'm considering cutting back on our bar package and food for the cocktail hour.  I just thought of things at the beginning that we went a little "over the top" on, and now that it's getting towards the end and i'd rather save our money  and am trying cut back. Is that something you could do? Just find things to cut out that people probably won't notice.

I totally know what you're going through though. I was so depressed yesterday that we were spending more than we thought. It looks like your getting married 2 days after me. Only 43 days and no more worrying!!

Sort of. We're on target with our budget, but I just don't know if I want to spend $300 on chair covers. That money could get used for other things right now like a new phone, new tires on my car or a new windshield (which also cracked - badly).

I'm not sure what to offer for advice. Can you talk to your boss about your hours being cut and explain to them that you really need to work right now?

I'm with you also! We owe about $1000 more than we have (or will be able to save) and that was after I cancelled the charger plates which saves us on charger plates and linens since we can seat more people per table. Other than that we can't cut anything.

I'm not horribly worried about it. We can pay that off pretty fast if not immediately after the wedding. Things will be tight until then though!

I'm right there with ya! It's coming time to write all the checks, and I'm starting to freak out a little bit!  I already told FI we will be living off Ramen until the wedding, and NO social life LOL.  I'm to the point where I am ready to pay everyone and have it all be over!

amen! Part of me wants to just say forget, lets go to Vegas and be out the money we already paid!

I guess theres the hope we will get a decent amount of money for our wedding.

And yes, we too, will be living off ramen and hamburger helpers! lol
