Grooms cake

Hey is anyone doing a Grooms cake or whatever they are called? 

I am really thinking about surprising him at the RD with one shaped like an airplane. (Pilot and I'm a Flight attendant). I was going to contact Holiday Markey where we are getting the wedding cake but didn't know if anyone had any suggestion for a reasonable baker around the Canton area? 

If you are doing one- what is yours going to be? What flavor and when are you having it? :)

    We will more than likely be doing one, FI really wants a Green Lantern one! He saw one online and now I think he has his heart set on it! Not sure what flavor or anything yet!

    Yes..Im having a Hayabusa (motorcycle) one done for FI. I think Im gonna have the girl thats doing our cupcakes do it. His favorite thing is cheesecake, so Im gonna see if we can do something cheesecake flavored.

    I've been thinking about surprising him with an x-box cake since he's a big gamer. We have such a looong time until our wedding though that I haven't even thought about where to get it from or what flavors!!

    We didn't do one but I think they are really cute :)

    I couldn't justify the cost especially since we'd already ordered our cake and knew we'd have plenty left over.  But I totally would have done one if I could.

    I haven't decided yet if I'm doing one, but if I find some extra cash lying around, I'll surprise him at the RD [:

    I would be cute to do this for FI (I'd probably get him something MSU-related) but it seems like a waste given that we have a ton of wedding cake and a dessert table and have tons of desserts at the RD. He'd think it was cute but get mad at the extra $ I spent.

    Thanks for the tip! Lol - I thought they had to be big enough to feed everyone. Silly me! I have to call our baker tomorrow and will get a quote from him. I'd really like to surprise FI with it :)

    Right now I'm planning on my FMIL and I to make a groom's cake for the RD.  I'm currently thinking some game system controller since he loves video games.
