married ladies who did a first look

what was your timeline like? My ceremony is at 1:30. We plan on having a first look and some photos before the ceremony. We have about 1.5 hrs between the end of the ceremony and the end of the cocktail hour if we decide to take more pictures. Is this too much? Any suggestion on how I plan/time things?

We did a first look and I am so happy we did.  Our ceremony started at 5 and we did our first look at 3:30.  We got a lot of pictures out of the way which was good because we were crunched for time after the ceremony.  The more time you give your photographer the more creative pictures they can take.

did you take pictures after the ceremony too? I am just not sure if this is too much for the photographer to ask. How much time did you spend of pictures for before and after the ceremony.

We did our first look at 3pm and the ceremony was at 4:30pm and lasted until 5:15pm. We also did pictures after the ceremony and then had about 15 minutes to relax and get a drink before the grand entrance at 6:15pm. My photogs were  at the venue at 1pm and didn't leave til almost 9pm (and I had 2!) I think their regular package includes 6 hours, so that was extra but we have so many awesome pics!

We did a first look probably around 2:20/2:30... We had two photographers. One was with me starting at 1:30, and the other was at the church. We arrived late to the church around 2:15 for a 3pm ceremony, but we took pictures beforehand and got quite a few done. We only had a 1/2 hour in the church after the ceremony, but did get in more pictures.

I totally recommend it- one of my favorite pictures of the day was him and I holding each other in this little bubble of privacy.

We actually walked down the aisle together. :)

I wish we had done a first look and I was trying to get him to agree the entire planning process.  I didn't feel like we had that moment as I was walking down the aisle because I was so scared to be the center of attention.
