African American Officiant?

We are looking for an officiant for our wedding.  While I have found one that I like a lot, I would really like to try and exhaust all of my efforts in finding an African American officiant before I sign with the officiant I have met with (not african american).  Any suggestions?

Can I dare to ask why it matters if the officiant is African American. Its about your vows not the officiant...

I honestly find it hard to believe that you really mean what you said.  Of course the officiant matters, if it didn't most people would just go to the courthouse.  The RACE of the officiant might night matter to you for whatever reason, but I'll bite...

My fiance is African American.  So far, all of our vendors (dj, photog, etc) are all white.  Ultimately, it isn't a big deal, but he and I both feel that we would like to have both of our cultures represented in our day.  As it is, we will likely have far more white guests at the wedding than we will African American (for reasons I won't get in to here).  It's important to me that my fiance feels some representation from his culture on our day.
I am just trying to put feelers out there to see if I can even find an African American officiant before making a decision.  I am hoping to find an officiant that we both can connect with.  If we like the first guy best, then that's who we will go with even if he is white.

I think your reasons are legitimate.  With that being said though, I don't know of any African-American officiants, or how you would go about finding one.

Not judging, but I think you should pick someone because of their work and not what they look like. Just personal opinion.

But if its what you want then try checking Craigslist. I know a lot of ministers advertise in the Events section.
