low volume dj needed

We are a little bit older couple (late 40's) looking for a dj that will not "pump up the volume" once dinner is over. We want background music as our reception is more about seeing our friends and family than dancing the night away. Everyone says they can do this, but who do we trust?

Reccommedations with experience please. Reception is in the Warren, MI area.
Thank you, Laura

Check out The Music Butler (themusicbutler.com).  He is very accommodating and will work with you any way he can.  He told us that any time we feel the music is the wrong volume to just let him know or do a hand signal looking at him to adjust it.  His prices are also really good.

Have you thought about being your own DJ and just setting up an iPod in the corner and running a playlist you created? If you're really just looking for some background music and not for it to be the focus of the event it could definitely work.

We went with Music Box Productions and they are in the Shelby Township area.  The dinner music was perfect.  We had some requests and everything was perfect.

Our wedding was last Friday and the music/dj company was referred to us by our photographer.  Everything worked out perfect!!!!

They have high ratings all over the internet and now we know why!!!!

    They really were super!!!!

Also, this is exactly the type of wedding WE had - low key, background music only with dinner.  We did not have dancing at our reception, so I know exactly how you feel.
I forgot to mention, we have 5 years experience with DJing weddings.
