Timing for having bridal party hair done?

So I am getting married at Weller's in Saline. I reserved their "keeping room" to get ready in, and plan to have an on-location stylist do my hair and my 3 bridesmaids' hair there. We are allowed in 4 hours prior to the ceremony. My good friend has a sister who is in cosmotology school who is awesome at doing hair and offered to do mine/the BMs for the wedding. My question is, do you think one stylist could do 4 updo's in 4 hours? Or should I look into getting a second person as well? I don't want anything too complicated, but my BMs all have long hair and mine is thick and long as well, so I'm worried it will take longer. What is your experience with this? What would you reccommend?

Thanks in advance :)

You should be okay. We had myself and 5 BMs for makeup and hair and we had 1 stylist and 1 MUA. We started at 8am and finished at noon. My MOH and I have super thick long hair, but we both wore it down and I think that saved a lot of time.

I think you're fine.  We went to a salon, but up-dos were averaging about 45 mins per person.

I wouldn't risk it!  I would go with two stylists!  Better safe than sorry and you don't want her rushing on YOUR hair in order to try and get all your BM's done.  Most stylists should be taking their time on a bride's hair and if you have long hair you should schedule yourself a 2 hour block just in case of any last minute complications come up with your veil.  My makeup artist even said she doesn't care if it only takes her 45 minutes to do my makeup (as the bride) she wanted me scheduled for an hour and a half!

I think 4 hrs is fine if you have one hairstylist. I'd just make sure that they are all "prepped" and ready, ie hair washed & dried, or whatever.

I'd also show the stylists the picture(s) of what you want. If there is not great variance in the updo between all of the 3 BM, it should be pretty easy.

We had one makeup artist and one hairstylist for my wedding. They were in and out in less than 2 hrs, and did makeup for 4, including me, and 2 hairstyles, mine and my MOH.

Plenty of time. We had 8 girls that got their hair done in 3 hrs by just 2 stylists (all updo's). 4 (including myself) also had airbrush make-up done during the same time frame.
