invites going out April 17th, 2010... rsvp.. june 3rd... is that right?? or should i wait to send out the invites?

Did you send out save the dates?

I think that is more than ample time.  Most of the stationary people I met with said 6-8 weeks in advance you should send your invites.  10 weeks if you didn't send save the dates.

I'm getting married the week after you and we're not going to send the invites until mid May. (We also sent save the dates.)

I would probably wait a week or two and mail them about May 1.  You're going to get stuck with people who don't respond whether they have 2 months or 2 weeks.  1 month gives them ample time but not so much time they forget!
