A Woman's Place? MOB dress search

My mom is heading out on her search for a perfect MOB dress.  Since school started up for me, she's been checking out our local dress shops here and Jersey and recently sent me a link for one a little more in the Westchester neck of the woods. I know zero about the area, so I'm turning to you ladies for help!

It's called A Woman's Place in New City.  She sent me an email asking if we should take the ride up this weekend to check it out, but I figured I'd check here first. Does anyone have any insight into the store's service, selection, etc?

She's looking for a less traditional MOB dress and more for an evening type dress, if that helps.

never heard of it. looking at a map it's near nyack so it may or may not be worth the trip depending on where in jersey you are.

tell her to try places like lord & taylor, nordstrom, nieman's, etc for dresses. they have good selections of evening gowns.

my mom tried on MOB of the brides dresses there, they had some nice gowns but were pricey and I thought the staff was rather pushy and rude. They didn't like the fact that I, the actual bride, had an opinion on what my mom was wearing.

My mother and FMIL both got their dresses at Harriman Clothing Company in Monroe NY.  They were great to work with.  It is about 5 min away from Woodbury Commons which might be a little far for you but too me it is worth a trip.  I have also heard the place in New City could be a little pushy.

I have heard they can be a little pushy there and are a bit pricey too.  My mom and MIL got their dresses at Helen Bohn Bridal in Washington Township, NJ.  Their alterations were included in the price which was nice.  MIL got her dress for SIL's wedding at Bijou and was happy but I believe they were pricier than Helen Bohn.

Never heard of the place. Like pp said: Macy's, Nordstrom, Lord and Taylor and JC Penney have decent selections of dresses that could work for the Mother of the Bride.

New City isn't far at all from the NY/NJ border (and at least no bridges involved from here to there). It is Rockland Co

Never heard of the place though.

They closed!!!!  My mother got her dress there. She had some issues with them, no need to go into details since they no longer there.
