Hampton Inn and Courtyard in Middletown NY

Has anyone booked either of these for room blocks.  Any reviews or info would be great.
TIA

We used the Courtyard and they were great!

(We also booked a block at the Microtel in that same complex, to give guests a less-expensive option, but did not book the Hampton Inn because it was only a few dollars -- like, literally maybe $3 or $4 -- cheaper than the Courtyard).

About the Courtyard, though, they were very helpful and very agreeable. I dropped off all my OOT bags the day before, they let me put a sign up in the lobby about the shuttles, they arranged for an extra table and chairs to be delivered to my husband's room the day of the wedding so he could host a morning poker game for the "guys." We opted for the late bar (which was only $35) and the breakfast the next morning, and they did an AMAZING job with that, consideringwe wound up with close to 80 people at the breakfast. All in all, I was very, very pleased with them.

FYI, I booked one of the "spa rooms" for myself and MH (just me for the day before, us both for the wedding night) -- it has a GIANT whirlpool tub you can both sit in. It was such a great decision. I used it both days and highly recommend it.

Let me know if you have any other questions =)

I've booked at both for my October wedding. The rates weren't so amazing, but about $25 less than the listed price. The person we worked at the Hampton Inn left, which is too bad because she was really great. The person at the Marriott we've been working with is a little spacey or something (maybe she just rubs me the wrong way), but guests have been booking no problem.  Rooms at the Marriott look just like every other courtyard marriott. They redid their lobby, but I haven't seen it yet. Rooms at the Hampton inn are more kitschy, but perfectly clean and nice. We also blocked at the microtel to offer a cheaper option.

Thanks for your input.  I visited both today and the new lobby in Courtyard is gorgeous.  We are actually going to book both even though they have similar prices because people have different honor points.  I met with both reps and they seemed to be professional and know what they were talking about.  I may check into the mircotel as well.
BTW-what shuttle service did you guys use?

We used the Courtyard for overflow from our other hotel.  They were nothing but helpful throughout the whole process. Even offered to give some of my last minute guests who booked outside the time frame the group rate.

My DH and I stayed at the Courtyard once ourselves while were dating to have some time away from my parents (b/c we were living with them at the time) we booked the room with the whirlpool tub, it was great :)

We used Leprechaun Lines for shuttles. They were great.

We are using Trailways. They had the best deal for us.
