Sending Save-the-Date's

Hi all,We are doing photo magnet save-the-date's, probably about business card size, maybe a little larger.Any ideas on how I should send them?  I can't remember how I've received them from other weddings ... do I just put them in an envelope?  It feels like there should be a little something else with it - any creative ideas? Thanks! :)

I'm including a card with the hotel block info.  Not too creative but it's practical. Our wedding is on a holiday weekend so I'm sending them out about 9 months in advance, but you can send them anywhere from 6-10 months out.  If you have a lot of OOT guests, you can even do a year as long as your dates/times/locations are set in stone.

If your wedding website is on the magnet then you can just stick the magnet on a nice piece of cardstock. People can get all of the extra info from the website. If your not doing a guest site or didn't include it on the magnet, you can send them a list of local hotels, ceremony and location time, things to do in the area, etc. I HIGHLY recommend putting the magnet on something rather than just sticking it in the envelope and sending it along. My sister just sent it without the attached paper and some magnets ended up sticking together and getting sent back to her. It was a pretty annoying.

I'm planning on doing smaller magnets (the size of a ticket) as well and am looking for cardstock to mount them on. I am probably going to use clear photo corners to attach the magnet to the cardstock so the magnet doesn't get ruined and can easily be removed. I think backing the magnet on something is definitely the way to go. Good luck!
