Any suggestions for engagement photo shoot locations?

Hello Ladies,

My engagement shoot isn't until October but I'm looking into some locations now. I'm thinking of some sort of farm or orchard because I really want to incorporate the leaves into the photos.  I love the fall and really want outdoorsy photos. Only problem is i'm not sure where to go. Anyone have suggestions?

    There is an abandoned ruin of a castle on the hill above Gibbet Hill Grill/The Barn in Groton, Ma (Across the street from Lawrence Academy) that is public property (but a bit of hike to the top of the hill). From the top of the hill the folliage is great and the barn in the background. There are also orchards and farms surrounding head over to Harvard, Ma. 

    There are also Appleton Farms in Ipswich/Hamilton, MA, not sure if a fee would be involved. Not to mention all the other options that the Trustees.org might have that might be closer to you.

    We did our is the Boston Public Gardens - there is a lot of variety there for a photoshoot.  We also did ours in the fall - mid October - got some great shots with fall foliage.

    We did our Engagement Photo Shoot at Brooksby Farm in Peabody around October 22nd of last year.  The foliage was everything I wanted it to be...simply gorgeous.  We some final shots of the day at the Peabody Institute Library in Danvers, there's a tree in front of the Library that was amazing.

    I was able to get 2 photos small enough to share. They're far away so you can see all of the foliage. First one was at Brooksby Farm and Second one is at the Library. There are no guarantees when it comes to foliage but I wanted you to see what it looked like in late October.

    We did our engagement shoot at the Wayside Inn in Sudbury in October.  The foliage was great!

    Wow, thank you so much for sending pictures as well. You guys are awesome. I actually live right by Brooksby Farm and never even thought of it.

    Of course, I know you live in the area. but I moved to Los Angeles in 2002 and don't get back for the fall so I had no idea, even an approximate notion of what the leaves would look like. I wish someone had shared pictures. We winged it and I picked a date I thought would still have beautiful foliage. A risky move, but it turned out fantastic. So my though was to pass along a few of our pics along with the date of our session. Best of luck to you, I'm sure wherever you decide will be amazing and special to the two of you.     Hi Ourwedding111111.....did you have to pay a fee or get permission from Brooksby Farm to take pictures there. Also, did you get to take pictures by the barn at all?

    I've been checking out more photos of the farm online and i'm completely sold. It's so beautiful.
