Did you get it? My parents and fiance are insisting on it. Am I the only crazy moon bat who thinks it's a scam?

I was ready to get it, prepared to get it, and (at least as of now) still haven't gotten it.

The way we negotiated all of our contracts, we basically wrote in clauses so that if something happens and is cancelled or changed, we get our money back (possibly minus a small deposit). 

I think it can be good, but it really just depends on how your other contracts are worded.  If you are basically doing everything through your venue, and you already wrote in clear language about what is covered in case something happens into your contract, then I don't think you need it.
