Cheap Hurriacane Vase?

I am searching for reasonably priced hurricane vases to use as my centerpieces.  I need 20.  Where can I find them for a reasonable price? Also any tips on where to find the candles and stones/marbles to put inside would be appreciated as well.

I'd say Christmas Tree Shop, Home Goods or Joanne's will be the cheapest for all of those things.

We got our vases at Christmas Tree Shops, and the marble gems at Michaels and AC Moore (there are coupons in the paper every weekend), and candles at Michaels.  When all is said and done, I think our centerpieces (20) will total about $350 altogether.

    When is your wedding?  Colors?

My wedding is on June 25th. My main color is sky blue.  I am considering doing a hurricane glass with a white candle.  Then having pearl and blue marble gems from AC Moore inside. I am playing with the idea of having light yellow rose petals around the candle inside the hurricane glass (not sure if I want to deal with that detail though).  My mom sews, so she is thinking of making a white star (8 points) and trimming it with sky blue trim to help make the centerpiece pop more.  I might even put 3 votive candles around the hurricane glass.  Thanks for the tips ladies!

I got my vases at Christmas tree shop as well.  They do special orders, so if you see something in the store that they have a limited quatity of, just bring it to customer service and ask them to order it for you.  My vases were only $5 each and look really nice.

My fiance loves to go treasure hunting at yard sales.  Last summer, we were able to collect about 15 huricane vases at an average cost of less than $1 each.

If you want to avoid that tedious task, the Dollar Tree has simple hurricane vases.  You can order a couple cases online and have them shipped to a retail location near your home.  So, for $24 you could have your 20 vases plus a few extra.

Thanks ladies for all the great information! I definitely think I am going to do the hurricane vase with a white candle as a centeripiece.  I need to incorporate blue somehow, so I am think I am going to add blue marble gems to the hurricane vase to add some color.  I would like to be able to make my centerpieces ahead of time and to not have to worry about any last minute details.  This is why I am trying to avoid flowers at the moment.  My main color is sky blue.  We are having our reception at a country club.  Any ideas on what else to add to my centerpiece to dress it up a little more.  I know I can do votive candles around it as well.  I was thinking about making a blue mat to go under the vase to bring out more blue.  Any other ideas?

Does anyone have any hurricane vases that they'd want to sell? I'm in the north shore but could meet in Boston too. Thanks!
