How early do the guys get ready?

Working on our timeline:  the girls need to meet at the hotel early (like 10 AM, ugh!) to do hair and make-up.  We're doing the formal photos before the ceremony, starting at 3 PM.  We'll do a first look just FI and I at 2:30 PM.  We'd like the guys to get dressed at the hotel so they can hang out with FI and we can have the photographer take pics of them, but they seem annoyed if they have to get there early.

So I"m curious:  what time do you suggest having the guys meet?  And did they get dressed together or just arrive dressed at the venue?

Guys have it easy...

    4am? Whoa!

noodle, We had the guys meet at H's house to get ready at 12:00 to be to the church by 1:20. I'm pretty sure they were all dressed and ready by 12:30. If you're doing a first look at 2:30, my suggestion is have them there by 1:30pm so your FI has time to chill once he's dressed. Tempt them with sandwiches.

Our ceremony was at 6 and we did pictures before. DH got to the hotel around 2. His GMs got there between 30 and 45 mins after him.

We wanted everyone ready by 2pm.  I think we had the guys get ready around 12:30-1pm.  They all got ready and then wandered off to run errands, get umbrellas (it was raining), hang out with us, etc.

Am I a bad bride that I just don't care what they do, as long as they get to the church at least 15 minutes early? They are all adults, I'll let them sort it out. I'm guessing they might all go to FI's hotel room and drive over together, but it's up to them.

Joe and his GM met at the park where we were taking pictures before the ceremony at about 2:00, the photographer wasn't getting there until 3:00. It worked out though, because with the rain they were able to scope out some sheleterd spots for pictures if we needed them. I would have them plan to be ready to go about 1/2 hour before they need to walk out to the hotel room  to wherever they go for pictures.

I don't know why they would be annnoyed.. that's a pretty big day to be bugged over an extra hour or two. But maybe you can have them play poker or something while they wait, instead of making it feel like a chore to be there.

Our GM are all meeting at the church at whatever time the priest tells them to be there.  I don't really care about what they do either

our ceremony was at 4.  the guys sort of made an afternoon of it.  they met for lunch first, then just went back to the hotel and hung out/relaxed/had some drinks before getting ready and over to the venue.

    ...hello out there!
