Pembroke Country Club

Does anyone have any experience with Pembroke Country Club?  I'm about to put a deposit down for next summer but I want to cover all of my bases first.  We're going to use Fasano's Catering in Braintree and I've read good reviews about them, but can't find much about the country club.  Thanks!

I don't know but I'm about to do the same thing:)  I don't know how many reviews there are going to be since they just were redone last spring.  Anything from before then wouldn't be relevant.  What is your wedding date?

We're going to book for July 9th.

 Have you been talking with Kim?  I like the place a lot but I'm getting more nervous everytime I talk with her.  She doesn't remember what we've talked about and agreed to before, she is slow to call me back and we had an uncomfortable convo about how I'm not paying $700 for chivari chairs no matter how many times she tells me the standard chairs aren't attractive. 

Maybe I'm just nervous about putting down the deposit and committing.

I don't know what it's like there now but we had our music banquets there every year in high school and I always thought it was really nice.

Our wedding is June 25.   Yes I definitely find Kim to be a little absent minded.  When I made an appt to go out there she completely forgot.  We are using the larger room so the chivalri chairs are already in there so I don't have that problem.  I do feel like she tries to sell you on things that you may not want.  I would just keep repeating what you want and read the contract carefully.  There is a wedding planner on site also so you might want to go that route.  I also feel like once the contract is signed she won't have too much to do with it.  So far she has returned my calls quickly but she also gave me her cellphone #.  I think it is worth it though, I think everything is going to go well.

I'm glad that someone else is getting the same vibe as I am.  Hopefully things will work better once I've signed.

Just to let you know, though, the chiavari chairs don't come with the room, which I thought too.  They were all set up in the ballroom when I went and she never mentioned them when we talked fees, but when I asked her yesterday if there were any fees I hadn't asked about she mentioned they are rented and are $7 each.

We went back and forth for a few minutes, me saying that I wasn't paying over $700 for chairs and that the standard ones would be just fine, thankyouverymuch, and her assuring me that my guests really would notice the standard chairs and they wouldn't match my color scheme, etc. and she would show them to me and I could figure it out then.  Puh.

Well that is good to know, she definitely didn't mention that.  I really think she told me that those were the chairs for the room.  Now I'm going to have to ask to make sure.  Thanks for the heads up!!!  Yes I hope it all works out too.  Goodluck!!
