Rehearsal Time

What time did you ladies start your rehearsal?

Currently my rehearsal is on a Friday, and am thinking I would like to start it later (like 6/6:30) so people don't have to take a half day at work if they don't want to. I am worried the rehearsal dinner might run really late if that is the case. Thoughts?

Ours is on the cape, so I figured everyone will need to take a half day at least anyway, so we went with 5:30 (I think!). That way the rehearsal dinner won't run too late and everyone (me) can get their beauty sleep. If it was going to be more local for people, I'd probably go with 6:30 like you, that way as you said, people can just come from work without taking time off.

We had our rehearsal at 6 p.m. and the dinner started at 7 (the first guests left around 9:15). Our church rehearsal was no more than 30 minutes, quick and easy. I was thinking the same thing and didn't want to have our WP take off 1/2 a day either.

Be sure to double check with your church coordinator...if there are two weddings that weekend, they'll usually schedule them back to back on one night - make sure you get the time that you want.

Our rehearsal was at 6 and then 7 for dinner.  The church was really quick- I think we were out of there by 6:35ish and then it was about a 15 minute drive for dinner.  Definitely talk to your coordinator about how long they think it will run.

I had  my Rehearsal at the church at 6pm and then had dinner at 7:30 ... the last guest left at 10pm but our dinner was at our venue where most of the bridal party was staying so that encouraged loitering ... I think 6/6:30 is a fine time ...

We are having our rehearsal @ 6PM and then the dinner will be immediately afterwards @ FMIL's house.

Our rehearsal is at 7 and the our RD Is at 8 across the street from the church.  Our church only does rehearsals at 6 and 7, and the 6 pm one was already taken.  But I feel this way people have time to get home, relax, change and then head out.

Our rehearsal is at 4pm, but that's because our church is having another event on that Friday night at 6pm.  We don't have a wedding party, so our rehearsal will just be us & our parents (and our JP if he can make it).

Just double check with your venue what times are available.

We are getting married on a Saturday and the Rehearsal time is Thursday at 7:00 and dinner is at 8:00. We only had a choice of 5 or 7 and I picked 7 so people would have time to get there after work. We have a few people that have to drive an hour to come.

Ours will be at 6PM and dinner at 7 (about a 15-20 min drive away from rehearsal). FI and I are getting to the rehearsal at 5:30 to drop off wedding items and talk through any last minute details.

We are having the rehearsal at 5:30 and dinner at 7. I feel bad because people will need to leave work early but our grandparents are too old to stay out late anymore and for them.. a 7 pm dinner (which really means food around 7:30) is pushing it...

Our was at 5:30 and the dinner was at 7 on a Thursday.  It was inconvenient for people but we couldn't do it n the Friday because our venue was having a wedding that night   Poeple complained about having to leave work early.
