HELP with a venue-Boston area/Waterfront?

Hi everyone!
I'm having the hardest time picking a venue!...Im looking for something with a view of the boston skyline..doesn't have to be IN Boston.  Something reasonably priced for about 175, and somewhat modern.  I loved the Omni Parker House, but it's just a little too old for me.  I would also prefer something in a hotel for my guests...any suggestions?! I need all the help I can get!

  • Granite Links in Quincy is very nice, close to a hotel (Marriott), and has a great view of the city skyline. Another great view would be the State Room in Boston, although it's rather pricey. Also pricey but gorgeous with incredible views is the Seaport Hotel. Good Luck in your search!

  • If you prefer a hotel, what about the Royal Sonesta or the Hotel Marlowe?

  • For a good view of the Boston skyline, consider some Cambridge hotels.  If you can afford the Omni Parker, the Royal Sonesta Hotel and Hyatt Cambrdige should both be in your budget and they have great views of the Boston sklyline from across the Charles River.
  • Hyatt Harborside (by the airport) has a great view and really good food!  Two of my close friends have gotten married there.
  • I am looking for exactly the same as you with a slightly smaller group.

    - Hyatt Harborside: I'm just concerned about there being not as many good photo ops outside, also from pics it looks like the carpet is a bit meh
    - Taj Boston Rooftop: Looks amazing but would be too small for 175
    - Millenium Bostonian: again, too small for 175 but great views of Fanuiel Hall
    - BC Club: you need to be a member or know a member who can sponsor you, but again they have the great views
