The way your florist reacted is almost EXACTLY how the dress shop owner reacted when I confronted her on failing to order the gown. So much so that it has made me frustrated just reading that!

 

All that said, I am at a point with the dress where I feel so over the whole thing and the $700 I'm out of pocket almost seems bearable. I would personally say that you should keep pushing for the refund she's promised you, and report her to the BBB (I think that's what you guys call it?).

Cancer does not matter and it sounds like she is using it as a sympathy card bug time. She fukced up. Write the review.

Take the contract and take pics of what you had with you and someone else, like H. Go sit on her doorstep til she pays up. Put BBB in your speed dial. If she goes nuts when you get there, call them while you stand right there. Send a friend in a day ahead of time for a fake "drop-in" to find out if she will be there, or how busy they are/how much work they are getting done with or without her. But I would call the BBB from her front desk with the pics and contract in my hand and her screaming in the background.
