If you really knew me, you'd know that I'm still resentful of my parents getting divorced and I think it shapes how I approach relationships.

That's a good question, I've honestly never really thought about it. I think in some cases, with people I really care about, I am empathetic towards them, but unsure of myself in conveying it to them. I'm not at all good with expressing myself that way I don't think.

With acquaintances or people I don't know or don't know well, I feel nothing a lot of the time, honestly, and end up scrounging around trying to express something out of politeness that I'm not actually feeling, does that make sense?

If you really knew me you'd know that I feel all emotions at 1,000 per cent.  I'm a crier, but not a crybaby - I cry when I'm very happy/sad/angry/frustrated/etc..

If you really knew me, you'd know that I grew up a very popular girl but never felt like I had any close friends because my desire to be the perfect daughter was so demanding. 

If you really knew me, you'd know that I feel stressed everyday about taking on the role my dad played before he passed away, which is being the peace keeper in the family.  The one person everyone complains to - except I don't have anyone to vent to.  I didn't cry at my dads funeral because I felt like I had to be the one to stay strong.  It put a lot of anger in me for a long time.
