I'm here, for the first night in ages! I need to go to bed soon, since I have to get up early to try to beat the snow and get up to NYC for the GTG, but here I am, catching up on board drama....

I'm here, though I'm not doing a whole lot.  We have our family christmas party tomorrow for my mom's side, so I'm wrapping presents and getting stuff ready to go early in the morning.

Sarah- I have to get up early to drive to Philly.  What time are they saying it is suppose to start?  Why does it have to snow the one weekend I have to travel!

 hear you are suppose to be getting hit hard tomorrow.  I wonder how that is going to effect our guests coming down here.  Most of our guests are from the Mid-atlantic/new england states this time of year.

I'm heading from Delaware to central Jersey, and I suspect it may already be snowing when I get up, at least according to weather.com. I am going to get up at 7 and try to get out within the hour.

Lynda, I've been buried up to my neck in work. This was my last semester of Ph.D. coursework, and also I made the crazy decision to take my first comp at the end of the semester as well. Around Thanksgiving, shite really hit the fan, and I realized I needed to take some time off from pretty much all of my regular leisure activities. It seems to have paid off, though, because I took my exam today, and I think I just may have passed? Now I am really looking forward to the holidays.

Sadly, not until January, because one of my committee members is in China. But I'm going to put it out of my head and look forward to all the celebrating I have planned for the next two weeks.

Yea, I think the ports will be a ton of fun but honestly, I really enjoy the days at sea (we have 4). I can not wait! I just wish my house was cleaned and I was magically packed

My family for the first week... NYC Knottie GTG, taking my sister to see West Side Story and the new American art show at the Met, a bunch of parties and things... then on Christmas, I fly to Salt Lake City to meet up with FI for the next round of Olympic trials. Then we're going to spend New Year's Eve in Vegas and then drive back to Milwaukee, stopping along the way to take that cool train up Pike's Peak. The following week, I may or may not go to Florida.

So basically, in the next three weeks or so, I'm going to see a huge chunk of the United States. :)

I really wish I was tired right now.  I just got off work 2 hours ago. I picked DH from the bar, had a drink, watch a couple get engaged, sang happy birthday to a friend (the 'cake' was very interesting to say the least), came home and not I'm wired.

Yeah, I wish I was tired, too. And also, less thirsty. I am so incredibly thirsty, and I can't seem to quench it.

I think I'm going to go lie in bed and stare at the ceiling hoping for sleep, since I need to be up in a little more than six hours. Nice chatting with you, Lynda

Im here.  We are down in Baja for the week doing absolutely nothing.  Got a simple house on the beach for only $500.  I can hear the waves! 

I'm not feeling too well from my dinner I think.  But it's about to get better because Bruno is on!

I'm here.. I'm about 2 hrs north of Philly, the snow has yet to start and is to start about 4am.  DC and Baltimore is getting it already..

Be extra careful and wish you for safe travels to New York.
