Oh that's crappy for his sister!  Best to nip it in the bud now though before he gets older and then needs meds.  That's what Mike's trying to do.  He eats lots of cheerios and at work he eats lots of salad.  My uncle eats so well.  I mean he can pig out like the rest of us, but he eats SO much better than his brother/my dad and had a massive heart attack in February.  My dad got a little scared to say the least.  My uncle now has to take meds for the rest of his life and he's only 53.  Blech.

Mmmmm cheerios. Yep, really no one is safe from a heart attack, but why increase your chances?

I agree.  I don't eat red meat very often.  I eat turkey burgers, turkey meat balls, turkey shepherd's pie just so that I can enjoy a nice steak every now and then guilt free

I don't think it's a diick move. He doesn't need them. If I were you, I'd stock the fridge with sliced fruit. When it's sliced, I'm 100% more likely to eat it. Same with fiance.

I think this is a touchy subject only because my sister's husband regularly hides food from her after she gained some weight.  He hides/counts every bit of junk food in their house, to the point that she buys her own food and hides it in her closet and eats while he is working.  This is clearly not ok, and I'm feeling like this could be a similar (albeit opposite, and def not as severe) situation.
