I am lying on the couch in pain. My UTI is not getting better. My entire stomach swelled up and is cramped today. I went to a clinic and after poking around he looked nervous and said it may be my appendix, since most of the pain was stemming from the right side. Then he took my white blood cell count and said it was not elevated, so it may just be bladder cramps or turning into a kidney infecion. He said to just continue the Cipro and if it does not improve in 3 days to go back to the doctor. So I am laying here waiting for it to either get better or worse, so I can take myself to the hospital if it does.

I do love "Emma".  However, I love P&P.I'm going to be started Wuthering Heights soon.  I'm pretty stoked about it.  I've been waiting to read this one on my list.

B2BMM - Just an overall nothing is how I want it, I still don't like my shoes with my dress, and really FI now you're going to tell me if I had just asked you to wear a black suit you would've agreed (even though I asked him several times and he said no). I just flipped. Plus, when I went for my fitting this morning there were girls there with nice, normal mothers and I got jealous. Nebb - My FI LOVES The Dark Tower series. He's already read all of them twice and recommends them to everyone.

!! I love big love. We just started watching it this year and are absolutely hooked, I cant wait for it to start up again. We also really like eureka (not a lot of people have heard of that) and entourage. Did you ever see carnivale when it was on - we watched that, im pretty sure there was only 2 seasons but it was a great series.

Brie - I just finished The Hour I First Believed. I liked I Know This Much is True as well, and She's Come Undone is my favorite. I haven't read She's Come Undone for a long time.  I think I remember reading it when I was a teenager.  Perhaps I'm due for a re-read.

Tj,She's Come Undone is one of my very favorite books of all time and i think i read it about 12 years ago, has it been that long? Would you suggest her new book? I live next door to the library here. It is gorgeous and so FREE. I love it.

sascha, go to the hospital!  Better safe than sorry with these kinds of things.  And feel better!  Nebb, you are welcome on my couch any time.  I am so glad Big Love finally got an Emmy nomination, but I am really honestly shocked that Harry Dean Stanton and Chloe Sevigny weren't nominated.

Brie - I get really melancholic whenever I read She's Come Undone and it takes me days to realize the book is like... rubbing off on me.

Thank god IT scared the crap out of someone!! I watched it when I was 5 (at the baby sitters) and have been traumatized ever since. Pet Cemetery also scared the living sh*t out of me.For some fun light girly reads try Anna Maxted.

miss amory, I recommend Wally Lamb's latest, The Hour I First Believed.  It's a bit slow to get into, but really a rich novel, I think.julez, you are also welcome on my couch, then, provided you don't mind cats.

I'm going to see how it goes tonight, since my bloodwork looked ok for now:( I'm watching Under the Tuscan Sun. I want to go to Tuscany. And Positano. And be an author so I can live anywhere.

I read somewhere that people are losing interest in the emmys because shows like mad men and big love, which arent extremely popular and highly watched shows (like greys or those types of shows), and people feel alienated. Im GLAD shows like that are being recognized, and shows are being nominated not for being popular but for being GOOD. mad men got 16 noms this year, 16!!

Yeah, it really irks me that Big Love hasn't been nominated for more.  Also, The Wire, even though that's over now.

Thanks amory:) It's weird...one symptom gets better then another comes along. I have about every pill except a pain pill, which I could use. I think my daughter has some from her wisdom teeth...I should go ransack her room, hehe.

My husband loves the wire, I couldnt get into it because I dont really like that kind of thing but he has been into it since it came out. I find a lot of the best shows are HBO/AMC type of shows.

I tried The Wire twice on Netflix and only made it through part of the third season each time.

What ever happened to Lily Tomlin, I dont think ive seen her in anything since I heart huckabees? Did you ever see her in that movie with Bette Midler, where they are twins  and end up meeting. Big Business.

sascha - You stay on top of it and on those doctors every day until it's gone. Do not do not do not let them get all casual about it "maybe" being a kidney infection. I had a UTI that went to the kidneys last fall and I swear to god I have never been so sick in my LIFE. Fever of over 103, hurting everywhere, moaning and crying and too weak to take care of myself - I know you're a grown up and you know how to take care of yourself but oh my goodness shake those doctors down til they FIX it!

Havent seen that nebb. Thinking of Incredible Shrinking Woman though. I was trying to remember if she was still alive. TJ-I know. I am a little bit of a hypochondriac but I keep feeling like this shouldn't be getting worse. I had a bad feeling today so I even took a shower and washed my hair just in case I ended up going to ER after. I was a dirty girl today.
