Re: Good morning

  • DH suggested a Pinot Grigio.

  • I just got back from browsing the community yard sale. Seriously, there were about 35 yard sales in our town of a few thousand people. Anyhoo, I got myself a sweet Asian looking vase, some artsy wall hangings and a shitton of Christmas cookie tins for $11!And it's GAMEDAY! Therefore, the rest of the afternoon is devoted to Penn State.

  • oooh I love Pinot Grigio to the max. Is it bad when I read that I tasted a little bit of it in my mouth left over from last night? One too many glasses, oops! Sorry TMI I know.
  • I really wish we had access to good fresh caught ocean fish around here. And I just realized that today would have been our original wedding day if we hadn't pushed it back.

  • it is a nice perk.  When you start eating fresh fish you start to hate frozen. I interrogate restaurants in the states now about where their fish comes from.  I'm sure I'm a PITA.

  • We may have to buy or rent a beach house somewhere to visit a few/several times a year someday.  I really want to live by the ocean, but all of our friends are here, and I love them all too.
  • Visting with my sister and beautiful niece and nephew who can in town from florida. Then off to my bridal shower at 3 and then my bachlorette party tonight! Busy day, but so worth it.

  • I love the water.  I'm looking at it now.  I'm going to cry when we finally move from here.

  • Morning everyone!! I just woke up. I slept for like 10.5 hours last night, it was awesome.  I feel so much better, but my nose is still a little stuffy. I don't have any real plans today except going to my hometown's tiny fair thing.  But now we're going during the day instead of tonight, so I don't get to see the Well Hungarians perform anymore :(  But I still get funnel cake and beer!

  • I'm going to cry when we finally move from here. Where are you thinking of moving to?
  • tlv, funnel cake and beer is always a plus. My two favorite things.
  • Where are you thinking of moving to? Who the hell knows?  The door is wide open.  DH said he wants to leave in 2 years.  That way he has 3 years as the executive chef experience.  That also gives him 5 years at the this property.

  • I just woke up - was hoping to sleep longer, but my cats are little monsters and kept waking me up throughout the night.I am planning to shower and get something eat soon. DH is in DC today and will be back tomorrow, so I'm bored and will probably go visit my parents too.

  • I just woke up - was hoping to sleep longer, but my cats are little monsters and kept waking me up throughout the night.Comes with the territory of being a crazy cat lady m'dear. Also, I was thinking, H had to work last night too. We should have met for drinks! Lynda - I kind of feel the same way. We definitely want to move from CT and once we hit that 3-5 year mark at my job I am sure we will. We always say Boston, but we are tempted by NC and Florida too.
  • Meaghan - It really does. They were destructive too - the stool was knocked over, water bottle spilled, bag of hamburger buns destroyed, other things dragged around. Those little demons! I love them so much though, so I can't stay mad for long. Drinks would have been fun. I'm looking forward to meeting up in October!

  • Morning, all!  It's so sad when 8am counts as seriously sleeping in.FI's at work, so I'm going to try to be productive today.  We'll see how long that lasts.  I'm going to have some pineapple coffee cake for breakfast and try to get the laundry finished up.  If I'm feeling really wild, I might go over to the exercise room for a workout.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • Sitting on my couch, deciding when I should be productive.  Oh, I also have to take a library book back and mail my niece's birthday gift.  Buying little girl clothes is so much fun!

  • Meaghan - we will go where the job takes us. There are a ton of new properties opening up around the world with our current company. Plus DH knows a lot chefs around the world. Basically we are flexible to help his career. My parents have moved a lot so I'm pretty flexible and do not have any ties to one area. At this point DH does not have a strong need to be in NYC, but will if the oportunity is right.

  • Morning!  We were supposed to go to a music festival but it is about to rain.  So we are waiting it out with his soccer game.  Then going out to meet up with the friends who were supposed to have a bbq tonight.
  • Morning! I'm in a grumpy mood (thanks, PMS). I've had the flu all week and now it's time for my period. Meh. Homemade pizza, wine and watching the football game later. FIL's are in town tomorrow. Great...
  • I have my bridal shower today! It's not a surprise any more. Do I have to act surprised?
  • Morning!  Or is it afternoon now?I don't have much planned for the day.  The kids are home this weekend instead of going to their father's but FI got asked to do another trip instead of coming home.  I'm not incredibly happy about that.I think tonight we'll go to the movies, depending on what's playing.  Right now I'm gearing myself to start unpacking one of the rooms in the basement.  We moved to this house 4 months ago and it's still not unpacked.  I want to get started on my DIY stuff soon and need to get this room organised beforehand.
  • and, g'morning. It's still morning here. Buying Swell Season tix at 10am, going to lunch w/ friends, then bridal expo, then meeting my dad and brothers for dinner. Busy busy. :) Have been knotting and waiting for the tix to go on sell all am.
