your ex suck?I never talk to mine (ex bf, not husband) but he fb messaged me yesterday out of the blue and sweetly asked how I was, where I was living now, and if I had plans to move back to Boston. I mistenkenly took this as closure on his part (he was a freak when we broke up) and wrote him a short paragraph back. He writes back, "good, because I have to think about where I want to do my graduate fellowsip and I don't want to be close to any city you could be near." Awesome assshole. Get over yourself.

PathoLOGIcal liar. Continuing after we broke up. About STUPID stuff. He even sent me an email admitting to being a pathological liar and saying he was in counseling for it and was on "step 9, making amends." ... Really? Really.DUDE LIED ABOUT BEING A LIAR.

"I don't want to be close to any city you could be near"?  Really, asshat.  I'd write back and say I wasn't planning on moving back to Boston because that's where he was already.  Or something like that.I (un)fortunately, have no real exes.  A few couple week stints, but that's about it.  One was also a pathological liar; lied about the school he was going to, lied about an ex-girlfriend committing suicide, lied about getting kicked out of the house and needing a place to stay.  Supposedly he's better now, but I'm glad it only lasted a few weeks.

Stole my parents car from me and drove it into a building. Awesome. If that weren't enough, after I kicked him to the curb, he called me every night at 3 a.m. for 3 weeks to tell me who he was fuucking that particular night. I hung up on him every time. After 3 weeks he called to tell me he had a new gf. I told him I didn't care and hung up. He called me back and told me her name. I was going to hang up, but then realized... "Isn't that you're sister's boyfriend's daughter, who's 17?????? You're fuucking your neice? You're more effed in the head than I originally thought." and THEN hungup. I still get the heebie geebies when I think about him, this was 6 years ago. And I realized that technically seeing as though it was only his sister's bf's daughter, it's not really his neice, but the two had been together for 15 years (practically the girl's whole life - dude... that is your neice. You are FUUCKED).

That's like the douchiest move ever, Meaghan. My ex was at my best friend's wedding a couple months ago and when I introduced him to my FI he congratulated us and then actually asked to see my ring. And he was talking in this obnoxious false voice the entire conversation.

My exes are both pretty awesome... but we didn't have bad break ups. Both times, it was about situation and where we were in life rather than a problem with the other person. I get together with one of them and his wife sometimes. It's always a good time!

I've got two college exes that were really something else, both cheaters.One is still FI's best friend, and we see him socially pretty regularly. He was the one I dated when I was 17, and he had a second girlfriend the entire time, and then got all mad when I kissed FI. I know I brought up that sordid story on here at one point. Definite pathological liar, and FI and I have speculated that he may be working for the feds, because almost everybody we know has been arrested at a protest at least once except him, and he's even been let out of cop cars.Other one is just your average illiterate Northwest Jersey redneck, who I dated because he was hot. He cheated and dumped me for someone else, but I have the last laugh, because last I heard he was working at Best Buy.

He offered me "visitation rights" with the dog if he could have visitations with the cats. Just his ploy to try to stay in my life I think. The dog was always fonder of him than me, so I let it go. I live in a different city now, so it's moot. But a friend saw him the other day and said he's doing well. The dog, not the boy. HA!

He was verbally abusive and an all-around assshole.He studied abroad in Spain 2 years ago, knocked up some girl, and is now living there with her and their son. I have wished him the best, but he is still a douchebag and always will be.

Wow, i'm feeling pretty lucky now. We run into my ex at least a couple of times a month. We hang out in the same circles. We are very civil, no hard feelings. We saw him on St Patty's day this year, he was drunk, and told my husband I was great girl - a little awkward, but sweet. Meaghan - 2 things, you are gorgeous!! And your story made me giggle, he is clearly still hung up on you!

He had a problem of not keeping it in his pants.Every now and then he'll call me and ask how "what's his face is?"  And I tell him "Nick, good, we're getting married" and tries to invite himself to the wedding.Then he proceeds to apologize for being an asshat.I win at life.

My ex and I still talk, but more and more is it apparent that I dodged a serious bullet. When we were dating he was in college, a hippie who smoked a lot of weed. Now hes working at a call center and still smokes a lot of weed. His most recent girlfriend just dumped him because hes "always going to be a f*ck up", and I cant say I dont think shes kinda right. I asked him recently why he doesnt just get a contract for his cell phone because he is always running out of minutes and text messages - his credit is so bad he cant even get a cell phone contract. Im content knowing he totally regrets dumping me way back when (hes said it a few times) because he sucks and im awesome.

He was sickeningly sweet, then decided to dump me the next day with no explanation.  This was after dating for a year.  I should have known when he told me he was a diick.  I thought he was just joking.  I'm dumb.He immediately started dating some chick who was married - and he was friends with her husband, too!  Then I understood the abrupt breakup - he didn't want to cheat on me with her.  He split up their marriage, and a few months later she moved from DC to NY to live with him.  Then, he decided to go into the Air Force, and now he's been in Iraq for a year.A few years ago, he started sending me email and messages on gchat.  He also friended me on FB.  I played along and then finally asked him wtf? and he was all "I'm sorry if I bothered you, I didn't mean to."  He has a self proclaimed hero complex and can't stand when people hate him.  Well, too bad fuucker, I will always hate your guts.

He was an alcoholic who accused me of being bi-polar when our relationship went south. Our relationship made me cry, not my brain chemistry, thankyouverymuch. The sound of ice clinking in a glass (he drank scotch on the rocks) still sends gives me the heebie jeebies.

meaghan your ex def sucks, what a douche move! Mine used to suck but now it's just kind of sad.I see him out prob once a year or so & we talk nicely but last time I saw him he was already drunk. He saw that I was engaged & told a old mutual friend of ours that he missed his chance & ruined a good thing, what? We broke up 6 1/2  yrs ago & you were never nice then, wtf?

The guy I dated senior year of high school dumped me for one of my close friends, and lied about it. She was super-controlling and it led to both of them losing all of their friends. Prom rolled around and they didn't have a group to go with, so they asked to be part of ours. My prom date was organizing the group (dinner, limo and all) and was awesome enough to say no. Then she started crying. He wasn't awesome enough to say no a second time. So I got to spend prom watching those two all over each other. I haven't spoken to either one since. Am I still pissed about something that happened in high school? No. Do I have any reason to want to be friends with them again? No.

man, I had it good.  My ex was the good guy in our break up.  I was pretty shiity to him toward the end of our relationship.  Not something I"m proud of, I was immature and handled it badly.  Hes married and in the navy now, and last I heard on the east coast?   We still see Spencers ex on a semi regular basis, she and her hubby live in VA so we get together w them in a group most times they are back in town, (they have a lot of the same friends from hs and college, 2 of her really good friends married 2 of Spencers good friends).  Shes pretty great.

I dated a guy for about 9 months before DH... he never told me he was MARRIED. They were living separate, always referred to her as his ex wife, etc. Yeah, he was a real gem. He then moved in with another woman while we were still dating. I still can't believe how manipulative he was. Unreal.

Which one?My last ex was a pathological liar too as well as manic depressive.  I didn't find out he was married until about 6 months in.  I should have dumped him then, but I didn't.  They were separated blah, blah, blah etc. But the point is that was the beginnng of the lies.He lied about where he was, who he was with, why he was with whoever it was he was with.  Then made me feel like I was the insane one for questioning him.  He did a number on my self-esteem.  I think he like feeling he had control over me. Sad to say, he did.  How long did this debaucle last?  5 years too long.  I kept holding out because I thought we were going to get married. He lied about that too. Bullet dodged.

Oh and he also used to call his mom names that I can't believe a son could call his mother...and she was so good to him too. I should have known. He can't treat any woman with respect.oh yeah this is a huge red flag... crazy ex had a mom who cheated on his dad and he kept thing I was going to do the same thing, it was really unnerving. Don't date boys with mommy issues.

My high school b/f told me he slept with another girl to get back at me for dancing with someone besides him at my prom. I only danced with other people b/c he refused to dance. He was also verbally abusive and threatened to kill me many times.

Mine became a meth addict while we were broken up but still sleeping together.  That made it pretty easy to get over him.
