Not that OP intended it that way, but honestly, I might have taken it the same way.then you're much too easily offended. do you flip chit when a friend disagrees with you too? ffs.OP, that sucks. I'm sorry about the first one, and it's probably really sad for her that she can't come either. the second one...you may want to evaluate if she's worth being friends with. the third one seems to have a case of the "it's my day!"s and hopefully she'll get over it. just to be mean, I'd probably back out of her wedding too. but I'm evil like that.

oh, and I don't feel sorry for BM#2 who had a couple DUIs and can't support herself so wah-wah she has to use mommy's money for clothes. cry me an effing river, you useless POS, and learn to contribute to society. grow up.

and, BM3 should've never committed to be a BM if it was close to her wedding. it's not like march and april are suddenly closer to each other this year.

shiiiiiit Salt, if I was coming to yours, my ticket would have been booked a year ago and I'd be havin' a daily countdown. YaPuppy--that really stinks, but aside from your cousin who can't control the custody issue, I don't know if these are the people you want standing up for you anyway. Especially your DUI friend, it sounds like she has major problems and needs to deal with them. I don't know that you could rely on her. Hang in there. I was going to suggest the same thing as a PP did--having your mom if that is an option. I'm sure she'd be honored.

Aside from the fact that I myself am feeling extremely self conscious about depending on my parents for the next few months, (Recent college grad, trying to get a professional job, not flipping burgers) and my feelings would be hurt by your remarks as well (although it would not nearly warrent the reaction you got). The whole point of this is, wow, I too would be very hurt if on my wedding day none of the people I felt were close enough to be in my wedding party bothered coming, for whatever reason. I say cry about it, then pamper yourself a little and put on a smile. I hope you manage to have a great time!
