Re: Crazy dreams

• For more than a few years I had a recurring dream that involved me being in a bad situation and not able to scream for help. I would open my mouth and nothing would come out at all. It was freaky.

• I had a ridiculously real to life one that a coworker quit. I made a fool of myself the next morning because I acted all surprised to see said co-worker at work. It was super awkward explaining my surprise. I wonder if they think I hope they will quit. Also, ever since I can remember I have at least one dream a week about surviving a tsunami. I am convinced this is actually going to happen to me in my lifetime.
• I'll repost mine from the end of the other thread.I have dreams where my teeth are falling out or where I'm all of a sudden like 8 months pregnant.  I also have really, really weird dreams sometimes, but then I forget them.
• Lots of my dreams involve zombies. I think I watch too many horror films.

• I woke up the other night giggling hysterically because I dreamed up an entire episode of That 70s Show. And it was a funny one!
• I have really vivid dreams.  Usually the craziest involve the apocalypse or ghosts.  They are scary.
• I wouldn't say crazy but my most vivid dream I have at least twice a week.  Different scenarios each time but they all have the same ending of my son (sometimes on rare occasions, my daughter) falling from an extremely high building.  Like, CN Tower high.  It's always a situation where I can't grab him in time, or if I do grab him I lose my grip on him.  Then I watch him fall for a couple of seconds before I wake up in a panic.
• Any time I get really stressed out, I dream that I have to rotate an entire floor in a square room.  I can pick it up, but because of the corners, I can't turn it.  I've had this dream since I was a teenager. When I was a kid, I used to dream that a tornado was a giant coming through the bushes across the road from our acreage.  In one of the dreams, my dad made me go get a plant off the front step before the giant got there and I was so scared.Other than that, I don't really remember dreams, just bits and pieces here and there.
• I dream A LOT.  Usually in the morning I will relay them to H.  He started pointing out that most of my dreams are nightmares.  I get stabbed and shot a lot in my dreams.  They never feel scary though.  It's odd.  I'm a normally happy person so I figure that's the way I deal with the bad shiit?Boy, now I feel like a crazy!

• When I was about 4, I had a dream that the big bad wolf came in my house with a sheet over his head.  He walked into my brother's room and walked out with a giant stomach from eating my brother.  Since my brother was so little, the big bad wolf went into the kitchen to eat more.  I woke up screaming! My parents ran into my room to get me to calm down and told me that if I kept crying I'd wake up my brother.  I kept insisting that wasn't possible because the big bad wolf at him.  It seemed so real.  The only way they could get me to calm down was to take me to see my brother still asleep in his bed.

• Coco did you know that the usual symbolic interpretation of dreams in which you lose your teeth is that they are fertility dreams? I find it interesting that you have the teeth dreams and the pregnant dreams.
• I had night terrors a lot as a teen.  I would dream that someone was in my room and I would open my eyes and I swear there was someone at the foot of my bed.  I would start screaming and couldn't stop until someone woke me up.  It was awful.  I had one at FILs house once, luckily FI and I were in the basement and he grabbed me before anyone heard.  I think it was PTSD from some messed up crap that happened.I randomly had one a few months ago but I caught myself before I screamed too loud.I also had this really really weird dream as a kid more than once about a man that was showing me and my (only existed in dreams) best friend (who looked like Gary Coleman in wheelchair) a magical land.  He convinced friend to get into the freezer and then we went and had a snack.  We came back and he was frozen to death and the guy would say, "I guess we left him in too long."  Freaking weird.
• I have the teeth dreams and pregnant dreams a lot too.  I had no idea that they were supposedly related!

• I have dreams where my teeth are falling out or where I'm all of a sudden like 8 months pregnant. I have these dreams too. I hate teeth dreams. I also have a recurring one where I'm in an elevator and as it goes up, I'm really scared that the cable is going to break and then I'm high up in a building and it will be swaying a little back and forth. I also have dreams usually in the very beginning of when I fall asleep where I will like fall down a flight of stairs and I will actually feel like I'm falling and often will jolt awake. That is the weirdest feeling.

• Lately, the past 2 weeks or so, I have remembered every single dream.  Everynight I have a weird and/or scary dream and it is all too real.  I wake up with the craziest thoughts because no matter how obsurd the dream is, it seems so real when you wake up.  I call them night terrors and FI wakes me up almost nightly because of them.
• I once had a dream that my family was being held captive in an old mansion and when I opened the wardrobe, there were dead children hanging on clothes hangers in it.  I can't remember the whole thing, but that's stuck with for a long time.I often have dreams of being pregnant and giving birth, too, but it's always triplets.  Always.
• Salt reminded me. I also have a recurring dream that I am in an elevator and the cable broke and we are plummeting 50+ stories. Sometimes the elevator starts falling end over end.

• I had a dream my horse was in my shower doing heroin. ????
• I also have dreams usually in the very beginning of when I fall asleep where I will like fall down a flight of stairs and I will actually feel like I'm falling and often will jolt awake. That is the weirdest feeling. And this, too! I do this too often.

• No, I did not know that, Manda.  I don't want to have kids right now (AT ALL), so that's weird.  Usually in the pregnant dreams, I'm not very happy about being pregnant, though.
• I also have dreams usually in the very beginning of when I fall asleep where I will like fall down a flight of stairs and I will actually feel like I'm falling and often will jolt awake. That is the weirdest feeling. This happens to me a lot, too.
• Salt I do that too!  I always have falling dreams and I always hit the ground and jolt awake.FI has also caught me laughing in my sleep and sometimes I will wake myself up because I'll yell, "HA!" really loud.
• Do you ever wonder if those pregnancy dreams are actually how pregnancy feels? (If you have never been pregnant of course.) Like, as animals, are we programmed to know in our subconscious exactly what pregnancy will do to our bodies? Or, as conscious humans, are we just projecting our imagination in our dreams?Previously pregnant ladies please weigh in!
• Vally - Don't you always feel so weird when you wake up from one of those too? I wish I knew exactly what that happens. During the dreams when I'm pregnant, I'm always really happy about it.

• Here is a link that is supposed to give meanings to some things. http://www.dreammoods.com/
• coco that actually makes sense- I've usually seen the teeth dream interpreted as a fear of getting pregnant.
• When we all emigrated to Canada, my immediate family went to Saskatchewan and the rest of my dad's family came here to SW Ontario.  We were out there for a couple of years and I missed my grandparents.  Every so often I would have a dream about them and in each one my grandfather would always be wearing the same blue and red striped polo shirt.  When we finally moved to Ontario, my grandparent's house was the first place we went to.  When my grandfather came to the door, he was wearing the same blue and red striped shirt that I had always dreamed him wearing.  It was crazy freaky at the time.
• Speaking of laughing in your sleep, sometimes I find myself waking up as I'm laughing. Then I try to explain to my FI what was so funny, and it always sounds ridiculous. Probably because I am half-awake when I am explaining it.

• About three months after my grandpa passed (so last feb) I started having horrible dreams about him.  I would dream I was at their house, and I went down in the basement to get something for my grandma and Bop Pop was standing down there (it's where he used to always paint and write his letters, so the basement was kind of his space).  And he'd see me and get really upset and say he kept trying to get upstairs but he couldn't, and he'd want to know why he couldn't go upstairs and why I didn't come to see him anymore, and why Mana kept ignoring him when she came downstairs to do laundry, and why she looked so sad sometimes.  And I would just stand there bawling because I couldn't bring myself to tell him that he was dead.  I'd wake up crying and shaking and Noodle would have to calm me down.  It was awful.

• I had recurring dreams that I was engaged and getting ready to marry Michael Phelps.I dreamt about my wedding once where I was marrying Kevin James.  I've also had a dream in which Kevin James was my dad.  Weird.  I often dream that there are spiders somewhere near and, even though they're usually huge and orange with a million eyes, I have to get up, turn on the lights and check the bed.  It drives FI crazy, but that's understandable as this probably happens once a week.
