• Oh god, I REALLY miss Tim Horton's. Buffalo is like a sucky version of Canada because they have hockey and Timmy Ho's, but no free health care or jobs.

• Do americans have ketchup chips?
• I learned something new today too.  I had no flippin clue there was a region in Canada called Newfoundland.  That's kinda a whack name for a province.

• That seems really weird to me.  I'm glad you answered me because I can better understand it.  It's still weird. My H hates cilantro but I still put it in my salsa. My sister doesn't eat meat and her and her boyfriend have no problem cooking the same meal, but just having the meat on the side.To each their own though.

• Mery, I think Mandy was more referring to not allowing meat into your house PERIOD. She wasn't dissing your diet at all. It just seems extreme to not let any meat into your house or any food that neither of you like into your house at all. So if you throw a BBQ, your other guests can't eat meat either? (I'm sincerely asking) But hey, if it works for you, it works!

• Salt - how does an average person start PhotoShopping? What software did you start with? Do I just jump in and crop away?Hey Les!! Sorry I had to go get beer.I started playing around with it when I was in high school because my dad is a graphic designer and had it on his old Mac. I didn't use any other photo editing software (except Paint) before Photoshop. If you have the means to purchase the program, you could buy one of those For Dummies books and teach yourself things. What I know is pretty much entirely self taught from books. I can't remember anything about P-shop that they taught me in my college classes.

• Lpstl - Ketchup chips = disgusting. They're like regular baked potato chips with ketchup powder on them. Barf.

• Canada is rife with ketchup chip awesomeness. I want some now. and newfoundland is NOT a "wack" name for a province. It was the new found land, what else were they going to call it, Arkansas?!
• I've never heard of ketchup chips.  Poutine sounds  interestingly good.  Beaver, huh? It's sold at the supermarket in the meat aisle?
• Lays ketchup chips used to be good, but they redid the recipe and taste gross now. But I tolerate it because I still love that flavor.
• you're right nebb- i really have no room to talk when i live in a city named after a fruit.

• OMG it's not actual beaver! It's like doughnut batter that's deep fried in the shape of a beavertail, then dipped in cinnamon-sugar.

• And is it "WACK" or "WHACK"??

• Beavertails are not made of beaver hehe.  Theyre a deep fried pastry type of thing covered in butter and brownsugar/cinnamon (or other great things).
• Salt - Towson Diner.  loooooooooooove that place. Almost as much as Fuji San.

• I don't think Utz makes them anymore, but Herrs still does.  But those are both brands that I believe are only available in certain parts of the US, mainly east of the Mississippi river

• And I was speaking about ketchup chips in my last post
image
• Ok, ew, no ketchup chips for me. Well, I guess I'd try one. But ketchup powder doesn't sound that great.I do want to go to Canada now just for a beavertail. I've only been to montreal and saw no such thing. Stupid french canadians and their pretentious food...

• Thanks Salt.  That probably sounded like an incredibly dumb question, but I'd really like to learn how to play with images.  And I know PhotoShop isn't the only software.  I do think I can get it cheap with a student discount. And now I'm off  - DH is waiting with beer.

• "NOM!"I stand by my oft-repeated opinion that people from Maryland don't like crab, they like excuses to put Old Bay on things.
