Poll: Fashion stuff you hate

Re: Poll: Fashion stuff you hate

• I also have Uggs that I wear around the house, to the grocery store and on planes. I don't care; they keep my feet warm. This. However, I give anyone here permission to point and laugh if I ever wear them with a mini skirt. That's how you could always tell who was a tourist in LA. Mini skirts and uggs was the official uniform of girls trying to be cool and fashionable.

• Riding boots are ok, I'm thinking of the velor flat boots that I've been seeing around w/ a pointy toe. Gotcha, those are definitely a no in my book too. I don't mind some tigh highs, depends.
• I also like maxi dresses--I don't own any, but everyone in Chicago wore them this summer, and I thought it was a cute, unique solution to the issue with your skirt always blowing in the wind in that city.I also loathe skinny jeans, and leggings too. Just because you have added spandex to the equation does not mean you suddenly look okay in that dress/skirt/tunic.
• Gladiator shoes (sorry alix)And to the person who said grown women who wear clothes from the junior department...I consider myself a grown woman and I do that because a lot of them fit me better and are cuter than clothes in the women's department.  And they are less expensive.  The sweater I am wearing right now came from the junior department and Scoetto can tell you it's cute because she saw me wear it the other day

• I'm mostly just mad at skinny jeans because I look ridiculous in them.

• The little vests things girls wear these days. I'm over danskos too
• Junior's department clothes on grown women.I agree with this. It makes you look so much older if you walk out of the house wearing your 15 year old's clothes. Dress appropriately to your age and it will make you much more attractive.

• I'm thoroughly convinced that Alix has the looks and confidence to pull off any and all fashion trends. Those checked scarves--keffiyehs--ugh. The young hipsters in my neighborhood *love* them and they drive me batty.
• I also absolutely can't stand the stupid chunky triangle heels.

• When women wear too much eyeshadow and eyelinerYes!  What's with all the eyeliner? Especially in places like the gym.
• I don't even know what half teh things listed are!!!!   I'm old.
• Also, when southern girls wear t shirts (pink- with something southern related on them) with pearls and ribbon in their hair. Sorry, t shirts aren't dressy regardless of your accessories. roxy, eye to eye on this one!! It is a middle/high school girl phenomenon around here to see this. I used to see it in college all the time too, but I don't see as many college girls now.
• I also can't stand uggs.  I'm in Texas so it never gets cold enough to justify them, IMO.

You are almost 25, right? ... I was thinking more like the late 30s and older ladies who try to wear their daughter's clothes.

• I hate when people wear shoes with fake wooden or plastic woven platforms to them. I mean, I know we don't all have a million dollars to spend on shoes (I certainly don't!), but the way the light shines off of plastic weave or wood in certain brands of espadrilles drives me batty.
• The trend in my town is too tight Lululemon pants (ok, whole outfit) with Uggs and designer handbags.  Mind you, they are all rich entitled biitches...Tights are not pants.  Period.Harem pants.  I saw some he/she wearing bright purple ones trying to take a MySpace style pic on the ferry in Greece.  It was too windy and it's hair kept blowing in it's face.  I seriously could not tell if it was a boy or girl...

• Anything with writing on your butt if you are out of high school.   Anything with any combination of the words "sexy" "hot" "baby" and "kitten." and it's not really fashion but I think it falls under appearances... that f-ing kissy pout face people do in pictures, usually accompanied by a peace sign or some wannabe gansta sign.  FFS, just STOP.

"Whatever East. You're just mad I RSVP'd "lame" to your pre-wedding sleepover."
• Georgia- I always say this when I went to college in SC. It drove me nuts! Lots of polka dots too. It was like the southern girl look haha I shop in juniors sometimes too. My mom is even known to shop the juniors but she always, always asks me if something looks too young for her. There are some cute things that aren't neccasarily childish.
• I'm thoroughly convinced that Alix has the looks and confidence to pull off any and all fashion trends.Thank you :) Honestly, half of it is knowing your body type but the rest of it is finding the attitude/confidence to wear your clothes, not have them wear you - especially trend clothes. On that note, I hate people who dress like a trend report threw up on them. Do not - NOT - wear more than one trend at a time. Mix them with basics and classics. There's nothing worse than someone wearing peep-toe-booties with cropped harem pants, a cute vest over a tank and a cropped "leather" jacket (I saw a college kid doing this yesterday and wanted to smack her with my purse and scream "what were you thinking!?).

• One step worse than the harem pants are the capri length harem pants.  Ive seen them 4 times this week. I still a disturbingly large percentage of the male population with mullets and rat tails down here. (Yes, I judge).

• Re: adults wearing junior clothes, I think there's a difference between wearing low-rise, glittery jeans that show your crack with a Candy's tube top from the junior department and wearing cute fitted juniors clothes that are chosen well. I also wear stuff from the junior's department (mostly tops), because often I find that stuff in the Misses department is shapeless with ugly patterns, like you all of a sudden don't have a waist to fit anymore if you're no longer 18. Though if I'm somewhere like Macy's, then I totally shop in the women's department. I love their clothes.

• This. First, I hate the color pink. I don't want to wear anything that implies I like it, or implies all women like it. Second, I don't want to advertise I bought outerwear from a lingerie store. On my computer screen, it looks like your shirt is pink :/ LOVE maxi dresses. Love uggs as a boot. I live in Wisconsin and they are GREAT for walking the dog, running to the store, etc. I should note that I am bundled up in a coat, hat, mittens and jeans (not a sundress and scarf). I have bought several cheap boots and none of them hold up to uggs and they keep my feet warm :)

• Once again I am P & E's worst dressed:) I live in leggings, flat boots, baggy shirts, scarves, skinny jeans, maxi dresses, dresses with riding boots, and open toe booties. I even just bought some thigh high boots and I am obsessed. Harem pants are a trend I cannot appreciate though. Also those clunky heels like lpstl showed. And the usual suspects: Ed Hardy, writing on butts, things with the brand all over them, platform flip flops, Crocs.... I don't even mind Uggs but I think it is because they are soft and cozy I don't own a pair though.

• OMG...the stupid kissy pouty face with the lips curled up to the nose. Someone put a whole album on facebook the other day and I want to meet one of the girls and smack her in the face and tell her how stupid she looks. She did it in every single picture.

• LOL (yes, actually giggled out loud) at the kissy pouty sexy cool face: it's a classic myspace photo!!!!!1!!

• I don't like back boobs.  That's when a larger person wears something so tight that it causes their back to squish together like boobs.
• wow. Piper was useful and her picture made sense...
