anyone out there?

Re: anyone out there?

  • How are you, miss Colleen? It seems you are never here when I am these days!
  • I was on vacation for a while.  I just got back to working a couple of days ago.I'm doing ok, it's been a bit of a rough week though.
  • Anything you wish to share? Sorry things haven't been easy for you this week. Today is hump day, so at least you're half way though.
  • well first it was waking up in excruciating pain on Friday, then the whole FFF fiasco,  which I 'm pretty sure was a result of too much pain and meds .Real life stuff though; On Sunday I found out that a very close family friend died suddenly.  Our families were insanely close.  You know how small towns are.  Her grandparents and my parents were best friends.  Her Mom and my sister were best friends, her uncles nad my brothers, so on.  We spenta  ton of time together as young children at my parents and her grandparents cabin.  Then as a teenager I used to babysit her a lot.Anyway, she was only 29 yrs old.Her and her bf went to a Halloween party Saturday night, went home and went to bed.  When he woke up Sunday morning, she was dead.  Just like that.  We still don't know what happened to her.  Everyone is just still in shock. They  were living up north and all of her family is back East, so they are waiting for autopsy reports and for her body to be flown home.
  • That is so sad. One of my colleagues family members just died of a blood clot without warning. It's horrible how things like that can happen with people well one day and gone the next. I'm so sorry for your loss. And I totally missed the FFF debacle (I think I saw something about BIP or lala or something, but can't recall now), however whatever it was, if I were you I'd ignore it. You're very loved around here, in any case.
  • PS: Why were you in pain? Are you ok now?
  • I'm glad you had fun at Almond's wedding- her picutres look gorgeous! And yeah- I have no clue what went on with you and BIP, but I do know that I have found you both to be sweethearts and I hope that whatever happened, it doesn't continue to get you down. There's no need to let the knot bring you down.
  • I'm sure it'll work itself out, one way or the other.  I've had plenty of things to lose sleep over this week, the knot is not one of them.
  • I hope your mouth feels better soon! How did you end up with an infection in your jaw that wasn't in your teeth? Poor thing!
  • The dentist said apparantly I have a bit of a "gum flap" that I may have bitten at some point.  Then of course it got swollen and bitten again, then it got inflamed and infected.  My gums were swollen up all around my tooth, it was nasty looking.  Then the infection spread and teh pain was from my cheek bone all the way to my ear and down past my jaw.
  • That is somewhat insane for a bite on your gum! You poor thing. What have you got planned for the rest of the week?
  • I have a couple more nights of work.  My kids are with their father so I'm planning on just catching up on sleep for the next two days. On Friday when the kids get out of school we are going to Seattle to visit DH for the weekend.  This past wek has been filled with Dentist, massage therapy and chiropractor appointments.  So I am really looking forward to sleeping. How have things been with you?   Sheesh how rude of me.
  • Sorry, dinner called! Haha, no, that's fine- I don't have anything of interest to report, anyway! There is an issue of funding of my position at work, but basically I've somewhat sorted it out so I will be employed until the end of next year, which is good as I will hopefully be getting close to finished my PhD by then. I'm randomly currently searching for baby boy's names that aren't Voltron. Any suggestions?
  • I suck at picking baby names.  Although anything is better than Voltron I suppose.I tend to like traditional names though.
