    Even though he technically your FI has talk him out of it still give a heads up to officiant at let him no it is not okay to do this at your wedding. Cause he sounds like the kinda of guy that might still try to do it later.

     Marceasue raises an excellent point: even though FI has gotten FFIL to back off tongith, make sure the officiant knows that they are only performing ONE ceremony that day.
