One last fling

Re: One last fling

  • I don't know about him, but I have absolutely no compulsion for one last fling. I already broke this one in. He's accustomed to dealing with a day or two of leg stubble and knows I'm not going to put on make up every time he sees me. I long ago stopped sucking it in, and don't remember the last time I used a hair dryer. One last fling would require way more effort than I feel like exerting.

  • TJ, you put it best. Forget all my morals and the fact that I love him. Not much competes with not having to worry about all that shiit anymore.

  • LVB - I didn't even get as far as thinking about morals and cheating when thinking about flings. I got as far as "eh... that sounds like a lot of work."In seriousness, he and I are in agreement that serious desire to have sex with someone else requires a conversation about whether or not we should even continue our relationship. When it comes down to it though... yeah, I meant what I said - on top of it being wrong, I am way too complacent and settled in to put in the effort required to land a new sex partner, especially one who I would not know well enough to feel comfortable exposing the fact that my boobs totally fall into my armpits when I lay on my back. I mean, that's one of the main benefits of monogamy, aside from the emotional connection and lack of risk of disease - never again having to hide this jiggle or that unfortunate freckle or the fact that I am "blessed of thigh," as we put it the other day.

  • I'm glad that even though there are media constructs about valueless society that people aren't generally taking their husband/wife and deciding there are no rules associated with that kind of relationship anymore.

  • That's very, very true. And I'm sure that might be a little depressing to the guys, but hell, they got shitt they don't want to hid anymore either. It's a total win-win.

  • Honestly? Sometimes. But I have only ever been with my fiance. I've never even kissed another guy besides him. Hell, I'd never even been on a date before I met him. So I think it's only natural to sometimes see a hot guy at a bar and think "Hmm...." I wouldn't act on it though. Unless it was Simon Baker or Zac Efron. Then all bets are off.

  • No, I've done very little flinging for my age.  Even after my divorce I waited a long time to even date anyone more than a few times.
  • Oot, I totally thought you said you'd done very little fingering for your age.

  • Me - definitely not, I got enough flinging in my earlier 20s :) FI - HELL NO... he knows that I would find out and that I was cheated on, and that it would mess everything up, as I would not be able to forgive... He also said he lost faith in humanity when he came back from his friend's bachelor party where a few non-single dudes went to a "rub and tug" place... he came back super shocked!
  • No way, no how, not ever. H feels EXACTLY the same way. Also, I never viewed the Bachelor/ette Party as a last hurrah or the end of freedom. I always saw it as a night to celebrate with the guys/girls flying solo.  Robert went fishing with my Dad and my brothers and his brother in law.  I went to the beach with my sisters and my cousin. No stippers, lap dances, or dollar bills involved.
  • No we got all of our flinging out of the way before we met.  We are both fine with being each others last fling before the ring and after the ring.
