• Thanks! I'm excited and nauseated at the same time. :P
• Congrats Mica! That's so exciting!
• Sorry, but I need to revive FFF for a minute here because I have a flame.

Hilray never ever reads any of the thread. She consistently comes into a thread like 3 hours late and then posts a response to the OP that clearly demonstrates that she didn't read anything other than the first post, even when the OP has returned to the thread to give updates/clarifications/etc. I've tried calling her out on it repeatedly, but it doesn't work because she never reads any of the thread. I realize I'm banging my head against a wall, but is it seriously that difficult to read a one-page thread? /endrant.

• Who's Hilray? Can I have a lalalink?

• Mica, her most recent offense is in the Bachelorette post that's like third from the top right now (http://forums.theknot.com/Sites/theknot/Pages/Main.aspx/wedding-boards_etiquette_bachelorette-2), but she does it ALL. THE. GD. TIME.

Why would you participate in a written discussion forum if you are that resistant to reading? It's like saying you hate books and then going to librarian school.

[QUOTE]Also, based on the typing abilities I've seen from her, I'm pretty sure that "Hilray" is a typo of her actual name, not some cute nickname.

The whole situation is annoying. Also, her advice is flat-out wrong 87% of the time. So not only is her advice off-topic, it's off-topic and WRONG.

[QUOTE]Ok, I have a flame now. I was skimming through the GM thread and was put off by Ali092011. She was making fun of people who put 2.9 GPA on their resume as showing off how "Mediocre" they are. That pissed me off. I know in many jobs you don't have to put your GPA to get the job, so maybe 2.9 shouldn't be put unless its required. But jeez, way to make people sound dumber than they maybe are with that GPA. I might be sensitive because I got a 3.2 GPA in college due to a few classes that were my downfall(having to retake a required stats class a few times and one ASL class where my partner completely fucked me over on our final project...stories for another day), but hell I do NOT feel mediocre and my GPA was not that much higher than that. /rant

Okay, so I feel kinda silly going back to FFF on Saturday night, but I was busy all day yesterday and I was looking forward to FFF, so, in case anyone actually reads this...

I completely realized from everyone's responses about that comment that it was worded really poorly. The bolded statement is really all I meant. I was saying unless I had information that would really blow people away, I might not necessarily include it unless asked to specifically. It was in response to Rachers saying someone advertised her WPA when it wasn't a strong part of her overall resume.

And I understand that average GPAs and ways of measuring GPAs vary among schools. I shouldn't have put an actual number, I guess. I'm sorry if I offended anyone--I definitely didn't meant to imply that anyone here is "mediocre."

Anyway, that's my day-late contribution to FFF. :)
