Poll-because I'm bored

Re: Poll-because I'm bored

  • Dani, Captain and Diet drinkers are (in my experience) rowdy in bars. It's like they take the slogan "Got a little Captain in ya?" to extremes. They're fun partiers though. But that doesn't sound like it matches you at all.

No one take this too seriously, I was mainly just bored.

  • Fucking right I'm laid back. Who wants to piss the person off who is responsible for keeping me in the booze?

  • 1. Disaronno on ice, Coors Light or Sangria. In that order.

    2. I haven't had a watch in a really long time.

  • #1 largely depends on my mood. This week I've been rather partial to single malt scotch. I also love a good Spanish rioja, a nice cold, crisp pinot grigio in the summer, a Tanqueray and tonic, extra lime, or a Bombay Sapphire martini with 3 olives. (I am pretty sure this indicates I'm a 50 something overweight male executive who divorced the mother of my children and am currently cheating on my trophy wife.)

#2 Slim rectangular faced, almost vintage looking watch, black leather band, white gold colored metal.
  • Favorite drink - dry red wine - Cabernet or a red Zinfandel... liquor = Grey Goose/Cranberry w/ a splash of lime.

Watch = FI gave me a Citizen Eco-Drive watch that I wear every day.
  • ANY type of white wine or margaritas
    No watch :)
  • hmm, I'll play.

what I order usually depends on my mood and my location, but my usual favorite is Maker's Mark and Coke. my favorite beer is Young's Double Chocolate Stout if we're in a pub.

I wear an Anne Klein II watch most days. mixed metal, with sparkly around the bezel.

  • Chilly, chilly sauvignon blanc, Gaymers cider or mojitos (depends on mood).

My Timex triathlon watch died.  So none now.  Not exactly a trendsetter.  It goes with my very sylish heart rate monitor.
  • Ooh, I wanna be analyzed!

I drink beer pretty much all the time in bars. When I'm home in Delaware, it's Yuengling, but when I'm away somewhere, I pick the most interesting-looking local beer or microbrew available on tap. I like lagers, IPAs, and pale ales, but not so much stout. I won't drink any of the really generic American beers: Budweiser, Miller, Coors, etc.

Unless I'm out with Poli and she introduces me to her hot bartender friend who gives us free fruity martinis.

I also like wine tasting and drinking it all rather than spitting it out.

    And I don't wear a watch.

  • Preferred drink: scotch sour on the rocks, hold the fruit.

    Watch: don't wear one. Ever.

  • In a mellow bar....chardonnay or pinot grigio...and trust me, I am definitely a drinker.
In a nightclub....vodka and soda with a lime.

Watch...a Cartier tank but I never wear it.

    Analyze me!

By the way...I am stunned by the lack of vodka drinkers.  The nightclub where I worked here was bottle service only and 9 out of 10 people order Grey Goose.I would say 8 out of 10 girls drink vodka cran at the bars here.

    1. It depends on where I am.  At a bar bar, decent draft beer.  Stella is my favorite right now.  At a restaurant, whatever red wine.  If I'm dieting at a bar, well rum and diet.  If I'm not dieting, I'm also likely to drink whatever beer is in the pitcher at the table.

    2.  A plain movado.  I'm still pissed that my tag got stolen.

    Do me!
  • 1) Yuengling (if I can get it) or Amstel Light,  Jager Shots.   If I''m out to dinner then I drink Pinot Noir

    2) DH gave me a TAG for Christmas.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
