Good Morning!

Re: Good Morning!

  • OMG they seriously do sound so similar. I married a total comic book/video game nerd too. :)

I used to say that I wanted to find out right away, but now I'm not so sure. Part of me would really like to be surprised, but another part of me would probably go crazy with the not knowing. I'm actually pretty shocked at myself for even entertaining the idea of being surprised because normally I hate surprises.

  • I would want to know. I love surprises, but I don't want to decorate and get piles of clothes in green and yellow.

  • Haha I'd rather get piles of green and yellow clothes than piles of pink or blue clothes. :)

  • I just love to walk by the children's section at Wal-Mart and Target and look at all the clothes. The cute little pants and polos and dresses and leggings. I want to be able to buy them, whether boy or girl.

  • I think I'd want to know - I like surprises, but waiting 20 weeks to know more about the alien living inside of you and then finding out "Hey! It's got a penis!" is a pretty good surprise, I guess.

Side note on Salt's "I'd rather have piles of green and yellow instead of pink or blue" comment - I just went to a babyshower for H's ex girlfriend (long story) who is having a girl. She turned her nose up at anything pink. Literally turned her nose up. "I dont want to have a little girl who wears pink! I want her in camo!" *sigh* Mississippi baffles me sometimes.

Those sections are so evil! I want to buy it all for the babies I know! Baby clothes are too stinkin cute.
  • I was not expecting camo. That's pretty funny. I don't want piles of blue or pink either, but I do want gender specific clothes.

  • The poor little girl's room is green and brown and has camo boarder paper. I hope she comes out screaming for barbie with little blonde ringlets.
  • There's no way I can wait. I want to knwo the second I conceive lol. It was killing me to wait until my we found out what our 'pretty much nephew' was. I started a quilt before we knew what he was and I still accidently have a little more girl elements than boy. Which reminds me, I REALLY need to get started on his baby book...

I love Ramen. I had a cup of soup yesterday lol. I could probably eat it on a daily basis - it bums me out that H won't ever eat it.

He didn't go to college though - I wonder if that's the issue? He never had the chance to really appreciate it lol
  • All I know is that if I have a girl, someone better be buying these for her. Or I will. Whatever.

  • My love affair started in high school. H will eat it sometimes, but not as much as I do.

  • What's worse is that she already has a little boy - and this kid was a total surprise. I feel like this little girl is going to feel kinda unwanted or that her parents really wanted her to be a boy. They're naming her Micah Allyn too - kinda boy-ish.

I just feel bad for the kid already.
  • Micah is a boy's name. I have a Micah in my class this year. Poor kid.
  • Micah is also the guy from Paranormal Activity.

  • Micah is my across-the-street neighbor in HS!  And yep, boy.  I always took it as kind of a Hebrew/Jewish name, too.

  • Ok, ew to the camo. That poor little girl.

I honestly think I'd rather wait and be surprised. I just think it'd be fun.

Salt -those outfits rock, I'd want my little girl in a rockstar tutu as well. And I think it's funny your H and Lucas are alike.

My friend really really wanted a boy because her and her H are all into sports and she didn't want a little girl to be princessy or anything (which I pointed out, she was in sports, odds are the little girl will be in sports). We had another coworker who is a total girly girl and would tell us about how her mom tried to make her play soccer but she just sat in the field and picked daiseys. She had a boy, but all through her pregnancy I kept telling her she was still going to end up with a daisey picker, boy or not.

  • I've heard of Micah as both - but it really rings boy to me - especially with "Allyn" as a middle name (obv the Y makes it feminine, but hearing it, I would totally assume she was a boy).

Oh well. It's just one more reason H should be happy he married ME and not her =)
