Evening!

Re: Evening!

  • How much did you take?  25mg might not be enough.  When I had this total-body rash, I was taking up to 100mg at a time.  I was like a zombie, but the itching became bearable.
  • awww, thanks Daff!  I love your new sig- it looks like something from a fairy tale.

That's the main reason why I hired movers this last time.  I did pack all the boxes myself, though to save me some money.
In Response to Re: Evening! : I was just saying after last week's episode, they just opened up a whole new avenue for the series, and I hope that means they plan on keeping it around for a long time! I just love it. Walter's line last week..."I LOVE LSD." The delivery was perfect. I love that dude. Initially I wondered if they had Tom Wilkinson (who I also love) in mind for that role, but I'm so glad it's John Noble. He makes the show.
    Posted by daffodil_jill
Ohh Tom Wilkinson, I can definitely see that as well. But yeah, John Noble is perfect and I am so surprised he hasn't been nominated for an Emmy yet. I didn't think I would like Joshua Jackson at all but he has grown on me a lot. I love him and Olivia together, and I love the dynamic of having two Olivia's. I'm partial to "our" Olivia of course, but I like seeing the other one too. I also teared up when they realized that it was the right Olivia at the end of the episode a few weeks ago. I like that the love story doesn't overpower the show.
Daff, you know what pissed me off the MOST about Lost?  Walt.  WTF happened to him?  It was all like "Hey, this kid is important.  Except, no, he's really not.  SUCKER!"
    Posted by J&K10910
Yeah...I do agree that it was shitty from a story line perspective, but I think they legit had a problem on their hands when the actor had a major growth spurt and couldn't convincingly portray the character anymore.

I'm just pissed because the producers insisted they knew where the series was headed all along, and that they were very deliberate about it. And in the end they copped out and tried to act like the show was all about something it was never about to begin with. While the characters were engaging, most people watched the show because of the mystery aspect, people dissected every episode trying to figure out what was going on, with all the clues and such. The POINT wasn't the characters, that's why I don't watch crap like Grey's Anatomy.

    Also, Kate was the worst.
  • I always hire movers too. I have always lived on the 3rd floor so it is definitely worth it. I try to move smaller things ahead of time and pack the boxes myself.

One time my dad decided he didn't want to wait for the movers to bring up a washer and dryer. He made my mom help him get it up 3 flights of stairs. She was so mad. I'm glad I wasn't there.

Thanks! One thing I was insistent on when photographer shopping was the ability to do infrared photos.
  • Kate blows.  For really.

Mica, we definitely pay people to move the shiit, but we've always packed ourselves.  I think the next time we move (please be never...), that is going to be on the table.

Lostpedia blows my mind. There is so much mythological shiit that is in the show, it is insane. I do think Walt was special still though, it just wasn't that exciting of a reason .... He was special because he was a child, right? They just took all the kids and when they didn't get him right away (like they got the other kids from the tail section), they resorted to other means to take him. Right? I dunno.

I really didn't like Pacey and Olivia together at first. It seemed too forced and contrived. I've become more ok with it though. What I like about the 2 Olivia's is that Anna Torv's acting, which I initially thought was really dry, started to get pretty awesome.
  • Thanks, Eagles! That actually does look pretty easy.

I agree that in the beginning it felt weird. I love Anna Torv, so so much. I do love seeing her have 2 personalities and I think it definitely shows her versatility. Also? I love seeing Astrid (don't know the actors name) be two different people too. I love "over there" Astrid.

I thought he was special, initially, because he had some sort of psychic abilities. I guess they just had to back off the storyline because of the issues with the actor.

    *********SPOILERS****************</strong>

I will say that I'm still proud of myself for seeing the Dharma logo on the shark in real time and figuring out the electromagnetism bit before anyone I know did (in fact one dude mocked me for coming up with that theory).
  • I still haven't started cleaning my room yet... knotting just sounds more fun than cleaning. Plus the amount of stuff I need to go through is kind of overwhelming, I think I probably need to start during the day. Yup, that's my excuse.

Yeah, i couldn't figure that bit out either (the psychic thing). Who knows. That is awesome that you saw the Dharma thing -- I definitely did not haha.

  • Knotting is definitely better than cleaning, angel. My brother still hasn't moved from watching the draft, so I'm stuck not studying til he does. *pouts*

  • Hi!  I'm back.  10 pages.  Wow.  I skipped pages 3 through 9.

  • I'm moving tomorrow night after I get off work and I haven't packed a single thing yet.  Our stuff isn't moving for a few more weeks and we'll be staying with my parents for that time and coming back here on the weekend, but I probably should have at least started packing.  I just hate it so much.

  • I watched LOST entirely on DVD. I loved it. I caught a lot of stuff too, and when I watching it with my old roommate he would be upset that I figured out the endings to each episode. I don't know, I figured with play writing and being a theater teacher and actor, I kinda feel like I have insider secret knowledge. Or, I am just that awesome.
