I think when you have to try to be nice, you should just stop.  Fish is nice, but if the situation calls for it she's not nice.  I, on the other hand, am usually NOT nice but if the situation calls for it I can be nice. 

Chels and Edie and some other folks on here seem too concerned with how people percieve them (as in, "I don't want to be too *insert here*").  Bump that.  If people don't like the way you're percieved, who cares.  And not everybody needs to like you.  There's nothing wrong with some people thinking you suck balls.

Thaat's probably the dumbest thing I've ever heard LDY. I got softer when I got Lucy?  Or I was around less because I was busier? That would probably be more apt.  And I can't remember the last time I had a Lucy specific thread.

Have I gotten soft? Sure.  Is it related to having Lucy? I don't think so.  I think it's related to the fact I'm overall happier with my life with a job and all of that. 

And going 'Missy' for being sick for the past month? Sorry dude.  Sucks. At least I'm actually doing something about it after my second trip to the doctor today!

I dont think it's dumb - but you're entitled to your own opinion on the matter. I mean, it hasn't happened RECENTLY - but you did post "LOOK HOW CUTE" threads, etc. It might just be that you aren't around much anymore too, but that would also have a lot to do with "when you got lucy (and a job)"...but that's fine.

I'm sure if I felt like being around more often, you guys would see that isn't the case.  I had to actually walk away from the computer the other night after Vegan said she thinks going to the OBGYN is tantamount to making a pact with the devil. 

But it goes both ways.  You aren't all that interesting around here these days. Which happened to correspond to babies popping out with a lot of the 'old' regs.

I'd edit, but my post disappeared - I meant the only person to equate soft with bad in this little part. I know we've been bitching about things being boring and polite. I just mean that chilling out due to life happiness - whether it's a puppy or a baby or a move - isn't bad, but own that it's happened to you too instead of saying it's the fault of babies being born.

I love that people say that the board isn't all that interesting but then they still read it with no interesting content to add.  

I've said I'm bored but I've never said this place is boring w/o doing something about it like starting a post that's worth reading.  

We'll finally have a post going and then you'll come in and be all, "HEY I DONT WANT TO READ WHAT YOU FUUCKERS ARE SAYING BUT IM STARTING A POST ABOUT ME SO READ THAT INSTEAD"  Ummmm, no thanks.

I'm very glad that you are happy.  I think that's great for you, but you can't complain and complain about shiit and dynamics if you don't do a gosh darn thing to help.  

And you can't exactly judge people with kids if you're gushing about your pet AT ALL.  It goes both ways and your level of hypocrisy today is pretty uncharacteristic for you.  

I don't give a darn if you post about Lucy, I think she's cute, but don't ever generalize mothers in front of me again b/c that ish is bullshiit.
