Intro

I decided to finally introduce myself.  I have lurked for a while, but never wanted to post because my old username was too revealing.  This is by far my favorite board, I love the ridiculous questions you get and the honest answers you give.  My pretty princess day is in July 2011 in good ole dirty Jerz.  I work evenings as a corrections nurse, so please excuse my late posts.

Re: Intro

  • Well hello.

I'm in Australia, so I'm usually around to answer late posts.

Since you've lurked, I'll save all the questions for a "Mandy quiz" ;-)

  • Hmmm I guess I haven't lurked enough because I don't know what a "Mandy quiz" is.  Should I be scared?
  • Nah, Mandysmear just randomly does a questionaire type deal to new people.  It usually has about 20 questions and she gives you like 30 minutes to answer them.

    It's just all in fun.

  • Sounds good, I have off tomorrow night (I guess that's tonight) so I will be around to answer.  Thanks for the welcome.
  • Hello from me as well.  This place is pretty dead at this time of night in the US, but there's generally myself, Mrs and Sun around.
  • I'm here.. and hallo!! I'm in Michigan, but I'm an early riser.
  • Hello Amoro and akhensley!  Wow you are a really early riser!  I keep telling myself to go to bed so that I can actually do things on my day off, but TK is so addictive.
  • Well, I live in Europe so it's not early for me. :)  Mrs is in Australia, as is Sun.  Hensley's just a weirdo. :D
  • Hello there! This is a pretty active and alive board. It sure is fun around here.

Yes, TK can be very addicting and cause you to lose sleep, but its worth it.
  • Howdy!  I'm in Europe as well, at least for the next couple weeks so I'm around at strange hours.  I'm also a mostly-lurker but occasionally I feel like being sociable.

  • Hey! I can get a ton of crap done between 5am and 7am. :) I'm not weird... I'm spashial!

Oh hey Amoro, did you hear that a bunny died here yesterday?

There seems to be a lot of that going around.  Where was it?

Some girl came in to E and posted a link to her blog and was all like "I just got married and I have some AWESOME advice for all of you brides! CHECK OUT MY BLOG!!!!"

It started off with keeping in mind that it's YOUR day and you always get what you want... don't forget to delegate tasks (that's why you have BMs)... make sure you ask questions from your caterer and you might (GASP!) get a good deal... and then she said her best idea EVAR was her honeymoon registry.

I gave up on it at that point, but it was pages and pages and pages of that dribble. We gave her hell for a while, but when I logged on this morning the entire thread had been deleted. Oh well.
  • Yeah I was a little disappointed that it was deleted. I was in quite a mood yesterday and had some zingers. I was going to go back and relive it. Hehe.

OK I'm heading out to work... assuming there's stupidity waiting when I arrive I'll log back in when I get there. :)
  • I saw the post on the attire board too. Board hooker.

  • LTB - Yup! That's the one!!

I was wondering if she spammed it on several boards... I checked a couple yesterday and didn't see it.
  • Wow I went and found the thread on the Budget board... a couple of girls were defending her / thanking her for the advice. Wtf is this world coming to?

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Intro : I'm thinking a Bridezilla episode. I can see it now...The bride has a wand that she carries around to make people obey her. She's kicked out 5 bridesmaids because those biitches couldn't lose weight. The others kiss her feet and thank her for making them lose 20 lbs, take dance lessons and have their hair and make up done because they're all too ugly on their own. When bridezilla doesn't get her way, daddy or FI must buy her a piece of jewelry that she picks out. When the unsuspecting FMIL asks if she can help, bridezilla tells her that she's responsible for decorating the entire venue and if something like one napkin isn't perfectly straight, she'll murder her in her sleep. Oh, and this must be done in less than 30 minutes with no help. The day of the wedding the officiant changes her vows and she screams at him that ITS HER DAY and God will fear her unless he changes it back NOW. ....Hmm, maybe I should write a book of possible bridezilla encounters.

Don't forget that she also chained all of her BMs - including the kicked out ones - to her living room couch and held them at gunpoint until they were finished with every.last. DIY invitation and placecard. OH and she left biitchy threatening voice mails to everyone who didn't respond in time for her RSVP deadline. She undoubtedly stopped the reception so she could open her gifts in front of everyone, and then she cried furiously when she opened a card from her mother's brother's great step grandmother and there was no money it.
