[QUOTE]Anna, not too bad.  We finally got internet at the apt, so life is improving.  Got H's Christmas present yesterday, so we are all set for our first Xmas together.

    What'd you get him?

[QUOTE]There's still talk.  I hung out with LVB today.  My job keeps yanking me around about whether they're 1) having the national meeting in January, 2) if I'm supposed to go, 3) when it's going to be, and 4) where.  So.  I'm having trouble committing to a weekend right now, as I don't know what timezone I'll be in.  Bah, humbug.  I'm not working tomorrow, though, so I'll see if I can do some good research on a weekend or two NOT in question & post some info on it.

Okay, good. (The gtg part, not the being yanked around by your job part)
  • i'm here. and i'm thinking that threads like this one below just encourage people to have zero etiquette. i can't back these chicks up on their opinion that it should be ok to ask for money. i know some of them lurk around here, but i commented my opinion on the thread and don't see a problem with showing you what i am referencing!

  • A big fluffly reversable robe.

Our Bathroom is downstairs from the bedroom and we close the living room door and leave the heater off in the foyer, so my poor Southern Hemisphere H runs naked from the shower, thru the cold, upstairs to get dressed.

Becuase it would be waaay to easy to bring his clothes down with him, let them warm up in the bathroom while he showers and then get dressed...

How did the wedding go?   I'm sorry I missed the updates.

Lovely gift! I got H some cofy sleep pants and a gold putting practice machine that he can use in the basement when the weather isn't golf-worthy.  We're about to get a Christmas blizzard, so i'm sure it'll get use for months.

The wedding went well, with no visible snafus.  I posted a few non-pro pics here:

    <a href="http://forums.theknot.com/Sites/theknot/Pages/Main.aspx/wedding-boards_etiquette_annaoskar-12" rel="nofollow">http://forums.theknot.com/Sites/theknot/Pages/Main.aspx/wedding-boards_etiquette_annaoskar-12</a>

The band and the food were both huge hits.  I still get a phone call daily telling how much someone or other enjoyed themselves.
  • Very nice pictures.  You both look so happy.

We need some snow here.  It snowed all around us, but completely missedour little basin.

I think H is getting me boots for Xmas.  I am the only woman in France that is wearing tennis shoes.  I stick out like a sore thumb.  That, and I am also the heaviest woman in Antibes under the age of 65.  These women are scary.

  • You can have a little bit of our snow.  They're saying 18 inches between tomorrow night and Christmas morning

Sarah, I SO wish I was from Fla so I could comment and not be seen as an invader.  There's so much wrong. . . Should I respond?  Seethe in silence?  Reply mildly?  Let it all hang out?

  • Oh Dear God!

I closed the Knot to check my FB, when I can back I was directed straight to a post on the nest.

They scare me. I need a hug now.
  • hmmm, we solved that problem when I handed H the bill for waxing.  Subject has never come up again.

  • Well, Sarah, I posted a very gentle very LONG response.  I'm sure they'll throw bricks momentarily.  Eh.

  • Holy crap, Anna!  Warning required!

Laser is cheaper than 1 year of waxing.  Just sayin'.

Sorry!  I was too traumatized to warn.
  • I'm here!

I can't believe that there are only TWO new posts since I left, drove to Queens to pick up my husband, and returned.  Although I keep on forgetting it's a weekday...

This is the opposite of what happens to me.  When I'm gone, all the good stuff happens.  I usually miss FFF, and I missed the confessions tonight.

  • Anna - I don't think we're expected to get more because it's supposed to get warmer and will most likely be rain.  DH was shocked at the amount of snow and said that 24" in 24 hours is even a lot for Michigan standards!

sq - yeah, I hear ya.  I only caught the beginning of confessions earlier and then I had to leave.

  • Well, girls, I think it's bedtime for me.  I'll be around tomorrow, though, as I don't have to go back to work until January.  Woohoo!

I am so late to this, but that thread on the nest is highly amusing...

"The issue is what I said it was. Introducing a new hair style into the relationship/ bedroom."

Random note: Squirrly, have you had laser?
